My title says it all. Zero complaints. I bought this to put holes in some of my plant growing pots, mainly for orchids. Super easy to use. Quickly heats up, so make sure not to lean anything against this. In the past my husband would drill these holes, but for my thin translucent growing pots, this seemed like overkill. This soldering pen works perfectly.

SO, I read the reviews and needed a new small soldering iron, my old one is had, takes forever to heat and it's one tip is out lived its life. Reviews were spot on this package, it's so good even if you don't need one now it's great to have as a backup for future use. I could list all the big points but just read the description and reviews!!! This is a NO BRAINER win it has everything you need to solder wires and whatever, price wise and performance wise thumbs up!

I don't solder a lot, and so I don't need a high end soldering station, but my old soldering iron has been through the wringer a few dozen times, and I wanted something with temperature control to use for installing threaded inserts into 3D printed models. This inexpensive kit fits my needs just about perfectly. The temperature control works very well and the kit includes several different tips for various uses as well as a fair amount of thin solder and a stand with a tiny little sponge on it. I also like that it has an on-off switch so I don't have to unplug it until I'm ready to put it away. It heats pretty quickly, so I can turn it off while I prepare the next joint to be soldered. The only thing I don't like is the stand. Like most in this price range, it just isn't very useful - it's tiny and too lightweight, so the iron can easily pull it off the workbench if you're not careful. I didn't buy it for the stand, and it's not any worse than the one that came with my old soldering iron, so I'm not too worried about that, but I don't understand why manufacturers even bother with them. The kit includes a selection of six tips that should work for whatever soldering jobs you might run into. I saw one person on YouTube using the flat tip to "weld" joints in 3D printed models, and the pointed tips work pretty well for either soldering small items (like on circuit boards) or for installing threaded inserts, although I'd recommend buying proper threaded insert tips for that. Overall, a very nice kit for the price.

This is a nice soldering iron. I've been soldering circuits for well over 50 years and have run into good and bad irons. This one is good, and provides enough heat for most circuit board type repairs or builds. No complaints, and the LCD is nice so you can set it the same each time once you get to know what setting you like. It comes with various tips also. Time to heat up to operating temperature is reasonable. I actually purchased two of these over some months.

For the price, it does the job. The sponge could be improved but luckily I have one already. The iron and tips for the price, I can't complain. If you have some small jobs to do, it does a great job and keeps its temperature well.

Bought this knowing full well what I was getting. Lot of inexpensive parts, thin metal iron holder, thin sponge, non-heat resistant power cable, tip loses heat a little quick, etc. At the end of the day, I needed something that would get the job done and this did it. I wish it came with lead free solder, but meh. Easy to use, inexpensive, and it worked.

It heats up quickly. I use it to prepare key holes in plastic to create planters for my houseplants. It is a great value for the money. Has a cushion to make it comfortable to grip for a time. The tips are all great quality and it is easy to clean.
