Yes, I did in fact buy this advent calendar in July and open the entire thing the day it arrived. Someone had to do it! Overall I think that this is a great advent calendar. The most notable feature on display here are the nine included character figures-- Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Mighty, Ray, Dr. Eggman, Metal Sonic, and Super Sonic. That's the entire playable cast of Sonic Mania Plus, along with two of its villains, and even Amy! Hard to ask for a better selection than that. Along with those figures come three Badniks (the robots!), along with a whole slew of accessories. The accessories are unfortunately where the calendar falters a bit, but not too badly. I don't have much to say about the quality of the figures. They're on the same level as Jakks' usual fair, reasonable quality control but with the occasional minor paint error. However, the included Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are unique Christmas themed variants! Sonic and Tails are particularly cute, with both of them totally decked out in full Christmas outfits, Sonic as Santa and Tails as a reindeer. Knuckles gets the short end of the stick here, wearing only a santa hat, but it's still a great figure nonetheless. As well, it's worth mentioning that this is the very first release of the classic Metal Sonic, Ray, and Chopper figures! Unfortunately for collectors, that means that if you want to get ahold of these guys before they get released separately, you'll have to deal with receiving duplicates of several characters you already likely own. Not really a big issue though. Now, the accessories. It comes with a lot of the most crucial accessories for a set of Sonic figures- Rings, item monitors, Chaos Emeralds, springs, etc. But the selection isn't perfect. For some reason, it includes multiple 10-ring items (the rings with a big number 10 in the center), which aren't an item associated with Classic Sonic... and also a very dull accessory in general compared to the others. As well, this advent calendar contains one "exclusive" accessory, a tiny plastic wrapped present. At the risk of sounding nitpicky, it's a bit disappointing. The Sonic figure can't hold it, it doesn't do anything, and it's not an item from any of the games so it's not very exciting. I would've preferred something else, like another Chaos Emerald, or a different sort of accessory that wasn't already included, like a Checkpoint. But, despite all the words I just wrote about it, it's really not that big of a deal, as it's just one day out of the 24. That said, this advent calendar's gift distribution falls a little flat at the end. Spoilers--- The three days leading up to the final day are two Chaos Emeralds (back to back!), followed by the wrapped present, and the final day is Sonic. The Sonic is obviously great, but you'd think that they wouldn't make the final few days leading up to the big finale some of the most repetitive. At any rate, my complaints here are all just nitpicks. This is a great advent calendar for a Sonic fan. It comes with a huge slew of characters and lots of robots for them to bop, and tons of accessories to add to the fun! I love it, and would highly recommend it.

My daughter loves Sonic so when I saw this Advent Calendar I knew I had to have it. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much on the quality of the figures because other advent calendars I have bought have had low quality toys…but I was blown away by this one! Not only is it full of actual Sonic characters, but they are EXACTLY like the Characters you buy separately at the store for $6 a piece or more, they are the same size and have all the same articulation. I thought that the price was high when I bought it, but after seeing all that it comes with, it is actually a value! I would not hesitate to buy if you have a Sonic Fan in your life!

I'm amazed by the details and colors, the materials are strong enough but... the boys 5 and 8 take those figures everywhere with them and some of the arms and legs are already broken and missing.

I realize this review is probably too little; too late, but I got this for my young daughter who is very into Sonic. The quality of the figures in here is nuts. They have a surprising amount of articulation in the arms, legs, hands, and feet. These figures are higher quality than a lot of the Sonic Adventure figures from back in the day. We were very impressed, and my daughter had a blast seeing which characters she was going to get every day of advent this year. It was totally worth the money and then some.

The Sonic Adventure calendar was a big hit with my 4-year-old! He eagerly looked forward to opening each day and discovering the miniature toys inside. It added a delightful touch of excitement to the holiday season. The variety and quality of the toys were impressive, making it a great choice for Sonic fans young and old!

I don't leave tons of reviews, but this deserves a mention. I've been looking for decent deals on Sonic toys for my Sonic-obsessed daughter, and this is such a great deal. Most Sonic toys are overpriced right now, whereas this has incredible value. 12 2.5" figures and 12 accessory toys. Often these 2.5" figures go for $15-20s when sold by themselves. Some of them are Christmas-specific, some are general. All are the same Jakks Pacific quality. My daughter absolutely loved doing this for Advent/Christmastime, and it was a great motivator for good behavior, haha. The only downside is that it is incredibly hard to get them out of their little plastic shell. Also, I covered the images of the outside of the box with painters tape so they wouldn't spoil the suprise of what's inside. Otherwise, it is truly amazing, and might be a good buy for 2.5" Sonic figures even if you don't care about Xmas or it's not Xmastime.

Ive been buying advent calendars like this for over a decade and this is by far one of the best yet. The figures are quality, good size with movable head, arms, legs. The set is worth it just for the figures honestly. The smaller accessories like the rings, etc are also excellent. My 5 year old Sonic fan lost his mind when he saw this and even my 14 year old thought it was cool and may have been a lil jealous lol. Highly recommend this Sonic Advent set

I decided to pick this up when it got a deal over holiday 2022 - the lure of some of the rarer characters like Mighty and Ray was the main push. But the Holiday versions of the Sonic, Tails & Knuckles also very appealing These figures are of the same series of Jazwares Sonic figures you can usually find by checkouts in Walmart and so on. Those are usually $4 per figure and this calendar was almost all characters. Only aboout 5 days were "filler" items like rings or item boxes. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the BuzzBomber Badnik was missing a wing. Unfortunate but all the other figures were packaged well and secure - only other figure with an issue is Mighty who seems a bit too heavy and doesn't stand very easily. The rest are fine.

In my house, we are obsessed with sonic the hedgehog. We were thrilled to see this advent calendar and quickly purchased it. It will not disappoint! I highly recommend this fun advent for all Somic fans.
