We have have had a sonos beam for a number of years and have loved it, but my husband wanted to make our room more like a movie theater. Boy does this do it! It was very easy to connect with the app. All you really have to do is swipe your phone above it and it does the rest. It is easily adjustable which took some tweaking. It will do it automatically for you as well based on the acoustics but my husband wanted to do it on his own. The first movie we tried was Jurassic Park. WOW. I felt like we were in a theater. It's crazy how something so small can give off such a big sound. The size makes it very easy to put it pretty much anywhere.

After all the subs I’ve been through this one finally rings the bell. With two amps built in one for each woofer boom goes the dynamite. A nice clean sound with a thunderous outcome. I have it programmed to my Sonos sound bar gen 2 for accuracy. It sits on the floor for a 360 degree sound stage. Also it can be programmed for Wi fi or hard wired. Its really an incredible piece of technology and a little pricey. But for what you get it’s well worth it. Got a problem tech support is right there for you. When you buy Sonos your in the big leagues. If you can go for the complete set up soundbar and rear speakers plus a 4k tv with a 4k blue ray disc player you will be absolutely amazed how technology will ring the bell for you.. Good luck

I bought these on a cyber Monday deal. I always wanted this for my home and decided I deserve these beautiful speakers for Christmas! Set up was pretty easy and if you mess up, you can just reset the speakers and start over. I used the chat help desk one time and it was instant service. The sound quality look and the enhancement to my Home is unbelievable. Worth every penny. Think if Tesla and Apple decided to make speakers together…

This definitely makes a difference with our soundbar. I have two other Sonos speakers that paired easily through the app. This speaker was harder to pair, and I had to type in a number from the bottom to get it to pair. (There was some option to move your phone around on the subwoofer for pairing but that didn't work.) Set up was still pretty easy but quite as easy as the others I have.

I recently purchased the “Sub Mini” to complete my home theater system (Arc, surround speakers, and now the Sub Mini). I want to thank Sonos for producing such a great product, however, installing the Sub Mini was a horrible and frustrating experience. This is not what I expected from Sonos. All of the products that I have purchased were easy and seamless to install. That is why I purchased the Sub Mini, thinking that it too would also be easy to install. NOT SO. The problem was the PIN number that was required. The instructions were clear enough. However, the location of the PIN number and the Font Size and coloring made it almost impossible to read. I am 78 years old and even with my glasses on I could not read the number. It is located on the bottom side of the unit, on the side wall of the indentation where the power cord plugs in. Why would they hide it in such an obscure place. On top of that, it is printed in a light grey color on a black background with almost no contrast and a Font Size that is so small that you can't see it. Would you believe I had to ask my neighbor to read the number for me? I just can’t understand the reasoning behind the location and size of the number. Why not just print it on the underside of the box lid or on a card with the power cord. To say the least, I was frustrated and upset that I couldn't install the sub by myself. Add this problem to their very poor rollout of the updated app, and now I am wondering if I should consider buying any more Sonos products. Sonos needs to fix this issue soon, or risk other poor reviews and lost sales to those of us that aren’t 25 years old. Just be aware that if you purchase one of these, you will need 20/20 vision and a very strong flashlight in order to install it. Once you get it installed, the sound is amazing.

Some of this might be obvious, but not to me at least. I read a number of reviews from people who were upset because they could not get their Sub to be recognized by the app and/or get it to install. Let me say, I have a number of Sonos products and never had this issue, UNTIL NOW.. I was using a Samsung tablet (like I normally do to control the system) and it had me keep jumping though hoops, turning bluetooth on and taking me to web pages saying I needed to do this or that and basically not installing. Constant loop of "try again" and not working. Thankfully, I did not give up, but instead I thought I'd try using my Samsung PHONE to install it. I connected to my Wifi with the phone and brought up the Sonos app. Clicked to add a product and after a minute it came up with the sub. After that the install was a breeze! The only real requirement was that I needed to lay my phone on top of the Sub over the logo when directed. Couple of seconds and it gave me a check mark and proceeded to install. It registered my product, let me know I needed to update the sub (which I did) and once done it was all set. No issues! So, for those having problems getting their sub installed, if you are using a tablet or something, perhaps switch, as I did, to using your phone on Wifi. Could not have been easier for me to get it installed when I did just that. Now here is the note that perhaps everyone knows. I saw things mentioned about people adding the sub for TV/theatre installation. Not what I needed it for. I just wanted it to add a bit more bass to the music I was playing on multiple speakers throughout and open plan house. I thought I could perhaps just install it, not connect it to any TV type system and have it provide my sub duties. NOT SO. The first question it gives is a swipe screen to connect it to your existing speakers or TV setup. Did not appear that I could get around this step. The sub had to be connected with something you already have. I chose a single living room speaker in the end. Then I had to modify the name of that speaker to indicate the sub was attached to it. I have since created a stereo pair in the living room with the sub attached. Did that to give more balanced coverage as with a single speaker the volume for that speaker was what controlled the sub. Anyway, better sound now with some shuffling of speakers in the home to get the stereo pair and sub system. I dinged the score a little bit for the bit of a do to get it installed, but mostly this connection thing with the sub and the fact that I feel the controls are a bit limited. The only controls I have for the sub are: volume that controls the stereo pair and the sub together When you go to the sub under the stereo pair heading you can turn the sub on and off with a toggle. You can also adjust the sub level with a minus and plus slider. Lastly, you have a phase control of 0 or 180. I tried both and have the correct sound using the 0 position. That is it for controls that I have found on my system. Don't see anything in the app to adjust the frequency it rolls off at. I'd also appreciate the ability to not have to dig into the stereo pair menu to turn the sub on or off if I want. Would also be nice to have it separate in the list so the volume control was a simple adjustment from the main list of speakers instead of being controlled by the volume of whatever it is connected to. Maybe picky on this part. Overall, happy with the sound quality. Bass in a larger open floor plan room is good. I can tell it has been added from the greater impact and richness of the music. I don't have the gain on it turned way up (is at 3), but I don't expect it to vibrate the whole house. I don't think you should either. I can see it being a nice addition to a TV/theatre build in a smaller room. For me, as I said, happy I added it. The bass is enough for the variety of music I play and the large size of the room it is in. That and I saved some cash from buying the "big" square looking subwoofer. Would have been overkill for me. Especially for the price difference! A nice addition and recommended!

The mini Sub is good when paired with the ones or beam 2. For a room size of 600sqft. You can set the frequency level based on your preference. I have been a sonos customer for over 8 yrs now and have purchased a pair of ones & fives, beam & ray, the amp & gen 3 sub, now the mini sub too. I still own and use Cambridge audio with Monitor audio also. I use Sonos purly as a convenient option and everyone at home has access to listen to music as and when they like. The Sonos Sub Mini is a compact subwoofer designed to enhance the bass performance of Sonos soundbars and speaker systems. Here's a comprehensive review: I have been a sonos customer for over 8 yrs now and have purchased a pair of ones & fives, beam & ray, the amp & gen 3 sub, now the mini sub too. I still own and use Cambridge audio with Monitor audio also. I use Sonos purly as a convenient option and everyone at home has access to listen to music as and when they like. ☆ Key Features - Compact cylindrical design** with force-cancelling six-inch drivers - Frequency range down to 25Hz** - Wireless connectivity** over Wi-Fi (5GHz) with Ethernet port option - Compatible with Sonos Ray, Beam, and Arc soundbars ☆ Performance The Sub Mini delivers rich, controlled bass that seamlessly integrates with Sonos soundbars. While subtle out of the box, it significantly improves audio depth when adjusted in the Sonos app. Users should increase the sub level to +4 or +5 for optimal performance. ☆ Compatibility and Value - Best for Sonos Five pair : Highly recommended. - Good for Sonos Beam: Solid addition, especially in limited spaces - Less recommended for Sonos Ray: Harder to justify the price. ☆Sound Quality - Quick and responsive bass - Precise sound integration - Subtle but effective bass enhancement - Performs well for both movies and music. ☆Pros - Adds deeper bass to Sonos soundbars and speakers. - Easy wireless setup - Seamless sound integration ☆ Cons - Relatively expensive - Limited to one unit per room My Rating 4.5/5 - A good addition for Sonos sound systems seeking improved bass performance.

Das Teil ist einfach nur klasse. Kinderleicht zu koppeln und bringt einen tollen Bass. Nach Installation sollte man die Anlage allerdings neu einmessen

Although I’m not in love with the Sonos app right now being annoying to set up connections with my surround sound speakers, reviewing this item on its own I would say it looks great, feels sturdy, and sounds awesome as well, it’s easy to connect to your surrounds and you’ll never have to reconnect it from my experience. I reccomend this over the bigger version because at the price point it does a great job unless you plan on having your whole room shake I see no need to spend double for the bigger one.
