It's been over half a year since I've bought this, and it has not once malfunctioned. Initially just wanted to get rid of using a Cat-5e cable for my pc and have it as a dedicated router but it has outperformed my other routers to the point where I use all my devices - phone, VR headset etc. - with just this router. Even when comparing to a cable connection, I could not tell the difference even in intensive usage competitive games and streaming. Setup was quite simple and straightforward, and TP-link has sufficient setting options. The multiple frequency is a neat and functional feature. Totally worth the buy and it's relatively inexpensive too!

I purchased this for a 1,200 square foot apartment and it works exceptionally well. Setup was a breeze with the app, and I was able to set security settings within minutes. While I have some working knowledge of setting up networks and security, this was simple such that the layperson can easily get this up and running without issue. TP Link is a great brand, and this router is yet another example of that. Signal strength is excellent and it has the option of setting up a mesh network if you need more coverage. I have multiple devices connected and am streaming without issue. For the price, you will not find a better value.

Bought this to replace an old 2009 router. Setup went easily enough and everything works. Signal on my TV is now 'excellent' instead of 'fair'. It might be a bit limited as far as features for advanced users, so check the manual online if there's something specific you need. I ding it a star for the fact that the convenient setup app won't let you do ANYTHING unless you set up an account with your email and Yet Another Password, plus agreeing to terms of service, signing up for something, and some other legal agreement. For five stars, the app should just immediately start setting up the router without any email required. I don't need "cloud services", just basic WiFi. I assume I could have used the computer's web browser and configured it directly, and I recommend that method if you're comfortable doing it that way.

Bought and switched to this when the new Spectrum Advance Wifi 6E router was just giving me too much lag due to congestion of all the networks without allowing me to split between 5ghz and 2.4. However, after switching to this one I experience zero issues. The setup was easy and although their was a orange light for internet connection. I simply disconnected my modem and plugged it back in and the signal was recognize and turn green. Spectrum has no control over personal routers as per my chat with them. All you can do is on the customers end (cause it's not theirs). Immediately updated the router to latest firmware and all still seems good. Will update when the time comes but you can't beat a $40 router to a $7/month lease equipment with horrible lag and no control over basic settings.

original manufacture box showed up with a lot of packing tape on it. I opened it carefully. Got this at a super discount price of $14. plus tax.... wow, what a price, very good!!!! But, there was no packing in the box. there was no power supply in the box. there were no instructions in the box...just the access point with on dislocated antenna!!!! Hmmmmm.... so, found a 9v power supply that fit it of my bag of old power adapters and such, fixed the antenna, fired it up, downloaded the instructions and dang if it doesn't work!!!! Thank you amazon!!!! just needed a access point for my well pump house to receive the signal from my new wifi thermometer that I can read on my phone 200 feet away..... installed yesterday and it seems to be working perfectly... it is s TP link unit, so now I just have tow worry about the chinese seeing how cold it is in my pump house...... heheheheheeee....

Well, I needed a new router as the one for Speculum was blocking a program I need to use, which needs Internet connection to function. Anyway, I had an old Zyxel one which seems to have died, despite hardly ever being used & siting in a cool dry closet for the last several yrs. At any rate, I refuse to pay $100+ for a router or a modem, which is sadly the case for most these days for what reasons, I don't know! So, I looked through what Newegg & Amazon had to offer, & for what was w/in my reasonable price range-under $50! & this one seemed to get great reviews, although I am confused as to how that happened, cause this thing is a useless piece of crap!!🧐🙄😒 I have NEVER had so much difficulty trying to config a router in my nearly 30 yrs of experience w/both computers & networking! I wasted a grand total of over 8 hrs on this thing, & STILL never got it setup! It should take a max of 30 mins to do so! & I need to set a static IP address for the aforementioned prog I needed to get this router for, & everytime I set it, & then hit SAVE, the damn thing timed out, & gave me an error code. I called their USELESS incompetent tech support, & the 'genius' I spoke to there didn't know what the error code even meant! 🤦‍♂️ She said I had to call back later to speak someone who actually knows what they are doing! Not her exact words, but roughly translated from tardo to English, that is what she was saying!🧐 I was exhausted from being up all night, & crashed, & when I woke up several hrs later, I tried in vain yet again! I even DL'd & installed the latest firmware update for it-this had literally NO EFFECT whatsoever on the problem, BTW!🙄😒 & now, it can't even load the settings page at all for this thing, regardless of what IP address you type into the address bar in the webbrowser!🤬 & their useless 'tech support' just basically told me to call my ISP to have them walk me through this problem! Claiming they couldn't help me set a static IP address in it! Not that it even matters when I cannot even get into the router's settings page!🙄😒 & BTW, Speculum refused to give me the static IP address info too!. It's literally just a set of #'s!🙄😒🤦‍♂️ At any rate, if Zyxel's current crop of routers weren't all $100+, I'd just buy one of theirs, as their tech support aren't incompetent, & they will actually help you, & their products aren't useless crap! So, I am returning this paperweight, & will buy a diff 1 which is hopefully far better w/far better tech support, & not too expensive, & hopefully actually works w/out crashing everytime you save any settings changes you make, & doesn't fail to open up the IP address page for said settings on the thing too!! BTW, I'd have given tech support 0 stars, but they won't allow you to!

Super facil de instalar... Tiré un cable de utp cat 6 de 120 metros hasta llegar al router TP-LINK y funcionó perfectamente, la señal es de calidad y de buen rango.
