I have tried numerous wifi "extenders" over the past 5 years or so, and none of them worked in contrast to the product claims by the manufacturer. I recently upgraded my router to a TP-Link AX21 (AX1800) wifi 6 model. I get great coverage inside my home, but venture outside onto my terrace and its signal could not produce a reliable connection. I was contemplating scrapping the router and going with a mesh router with satellites. But I just bought the router, was happy with it overall and I paid $100 USD for it. Then I began my search anew for an extender that would work with my router. Then I found this little baby for $70 on Amazon. I decided to give it a try, especially given Amazon's liberal return policies. I received the unit quickly and decided to pair it to my TP-Link router via the WPS mode. I plugged it in near my router. Step 1: press the WPS button on the router. Step 2: within 2 minutes, hold the WPS button on the extender for 2 seconds. Step 3: wait up to 2 minutes for pairing to be complete. Well, it worked flawlessly. I moved the extender to an AC outlet next to the door leading outside. I now got full wifi signal outside in either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Also note, 5 GHz is great unless it is restricted by walls. So in the past, any signal I did receive outside had to be 2.4GHz. Now I can use either, and the connection strength on my iPhone 12 mini is great outside the house. Pages load instantly. YouTube videos stream flawlessly with no stuttering or lost connection. I could't be happier. Please note that the AX 21 TP-Link router has a design feature they call One Mesh. This extender also supports One Mesh. So unlike the extenders I have tried in the past, this extender maintains the same router channel name and SSID. So roaming is a seamless experience. I advise anyone looking for a good extender to consider this unit. But research is needed to make sure this extender is compatible with your router. I bought this extender because it specifically states it is One Mesh, and even bears the moniker "AX1800", undoubtedly with reference to my TP-Link AX1800 (AX21). Always choose an extender that allows for maintaining the same router channel name AND SSID. Other routers also have a feature to mesh with their extenders, so start your search there. Hope this helps!

This thing works amazing and never fails! I live in a large house, and the main internet connection is all the way on the front wall of the bottom floor, whereas I work in the office on the opposite end of the house on the top floor. This router extender made it so that my internet is absolutely perfect when I am upstairs in my office. It was completely easy to hook up and has never failed in the six months that I've been using it.

I’m very pleased with the TP-Link AC1900 WiFi Extender (RE550)! It covers up to 2800 sq. ft., and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my Wi-Fi coverage throughout my home. Setting it up was a bit tricky at first, but once I followed the instructions carefully and got it connected, it worked amazingly. The extender now provides a strong, stable signal even in areas that used to have weak or no coverage. It can support up to 35 devices, which is perfect for my household. Overall, I highly recommend this WiFi extender—it’s a fantastic value for the price!

I have a TPLink AX55 router and i could never get a good signal in basement or outside. i tried other extenders, but having to switch my devices and phones was a PITA. The AX55 is mesh compatable, and i was able to link this device using Terather app. took about 2 minutes. Now i can use phone and devices anywhere. problem, it still didnt reach barn or shop about 200' from house Solution, i purchased 2 more. i paired them with the existing Cloud device. I NOW get wifi calling, text and internet in all 3 of my outbuildings. I placed them at equal distance from cloned unit in sort of a triangle pattern. all are indoors so no issue with weather. now as i roam i can watch the signal strength drop to a point where the other device picks it back up to 5 bars. works seamlessly and does not change the name of the WIFI. so no more dropped calls. Love this...Love this. the internet download speed has dropped from the 150ish indoors Starlink to about 30 in the shop...but who cares. downloads are still quite fast.

I have been using another Extender for a couple of years now, it works, but I the connection is not always stable or available for devices I need to connect outside, but it works 85% of the time. And I always have doubts or cannot always trust the extender always feed coverage / signal connections. I have tried 2 other products of extenders but they worked pretty much the same. That is why I thought...well, it's probably my problem how everything is constructed and lay out in regards to the areas I need to use this extender. So I have given up in trying to find something better because I think it's going to be pretty much the same results. So last week I finally decided to give another chance to look for a better Extender, I found this, but at first I didn't have much high hope, I would just try it and then refund it if the performance is not what I expected. But to my surprise, the signal is so much stronger providing VERY stable and solid connections ! Now I feel 100% with this extender providing solid connection, I can see my devices loading faster, and not drops at all, everything just work so much better now. Very happy. Now in my case, I'm not so much concerned about "dead zones" is more like I need a solid connection to where I need to use it and this extender performed just that, a solid connection. My internet connect is pretty solid so if the extender can extend it, then everything will be fine, again, this extender did a solid job in extending connection. I'm sure this extender can always broadcast a very long range of connection to help reduce dead zones/spots. Oh, in terms of installation/setup, I do recommend to use the "Tether" app to setup. It's easier for most users. But if you have experience with extenders, you can always connect to the extender network and use a browser (i.e. your phone, iPad, or even a computer) to configure and setup the extender. For me, I used the Tether app to setup the Extender, and I used the Tether app to check status of the extender but the browser offers you more options in settings (i.e. changing wifi passwords - you cannot do that with the Tether app). The instructions are all there in the piece of paper and it's not long so don't need to be scared, it's pretty easy. Just follow what it says. And basically you can just setup/configure using the Tether app but the app is 80 Mb so I might delete it and just connect to the extender and configure / monitor from a browser going forward (just need to save the URL on my browser) If you want to use the Tether to setup/configure this extender you will need (do it before you setup the extender): 1. Create a d-link account (very easy, just need an email and create a password) 2. Have a Password Handy for your Extender - make 1 up (You need to create a login password to your Extender - You don't want everyone to be able to connect to your Extender and mess things up right?) - you will still need this even if you don't use a Tether app to setup your extender. 3. Have your WIFI password ready (the password of the WIFI connection that you want the extender to use). If you are connecting your extender to your router/modem directly with a cable, you do not need this but I think most people are trying to extender their WIFI connections wirelessly. Worth every penny imo, I got this on sale for $60 CDN + tax. . 5 Stars product. Good Luck and hope this extender will be the last one you need for years to come.

Also Repeater und Extender neu installiert, keine Besserung.
