Overall Rating: 5/5 Summary: it's a simple adapter from Ethernet to USB C, it works as intended and looks great. โข Features: It adapts the signals given from a Ethernet to a USB C device, most commonly needed on laptops without a Ethernet port or phones. It got a led light on top of the logo, so you can see when it's working, that's pretty useful for me. โข Ease of Use: Really easy to use, it's just plug and play, USB C is reversible so you can put it either way, the Ethernet only goes one way due to its tab on the connector, so it's impossible to go wrong when plugging it. โข Performance: It works, I didn't get to test the speed, but the information does go through, so if you need to know technical information about the speed, better search a little more. โข Design: Fairly compact, and it got a space to put the cable end when not using it, got a lil logo on it. That white is easy to get dirty so always make sure that you have clean hands. โข Value for Money: I think it could be a little cheaper, but it's still worth it, because it's from a trusted company, so if you don't wanna gamble with other brands, here is one that works. If the item is on a good sale, don't think about it too much and get it. โข Customer Support: I didn't have to contact customer support on this product, But TP link is usually good on their service. Conclusion: If you are looking at this product it's because of a need, and this one on specific is the one that I can recommend. Can't go wrong with TP Link.

Does it work? Yes Functionality: 100% Good: Itโs small/compact. USB A is protected from dirt Bad: N/A Accuracy of Advertisement: Did not test the speed but going on websites; it seems responsive with the correct CAT cable Suggestion(s): have the indicator light be bigger or have it light up around the rim of the adapter to know that itโs plugged in Details: I plunged it into my ethernet cable and Lenovo laptop and went on different websites to see if itโs lagging or slow. It worked and was responsive. I tried different ethernet cables which made a huge difference. My longer cable made it slower. I switched over to a better CAT cable and that made a big difference. The adapter works and the little light indicating that itโs on helps a lot.

I picked up one of these to add a second Ethernet port to one of my Linux PCs. Plug and play; it worked beautifully. The issue is that with mine, the Ethernet cable does not "click" into place, and the cable is prone to falling out. Since I always use the same Ethernet cable, I just used a couple of dollops of hot glue. Problem solved! (And if I ever need to remove the cable, some IPA will do the trick.)

This adapter not only does what it's supposed to (Connect a Windows, Linux or Mac PC via Gigabit ethernet, it does one better [and rarer] feat. it allows those with Sony Bravia (X90) TVs to upgrade their ethernet port from the built-in paltry 10/100 Meg to 1 Gig. This will make 4k high bitrate streaming so eventless.....It's plug and play and fully compatible with Android TV.

I bought the full sized USB version because I already have a USC-C hub with other ports and didn't want to use up the free Thunderbolt ports. I was skeptical this would work on my M2 Macbook Air because so many reviews said it would not. But once I downloaded the driver from the TP-Link website, it worked, despite it saying it only worked on Intel based Macs. So I can confirm it works on MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1. My remote work sessions have been much improved thanks to the lower latency, it was instantly noticable.

~ There are many USB to LAN (RJ-45) adapters available starting right from 500 bucks but believe me when i say those adapters will stop working over the time, most probably after five to six months of continuous usage. ~ Another downfall of cheap adapters is that most of them just aren't USB 3.0 compatible so if you have a high speed internet connection then you can expect a loss in internet speeds. ~ If you use the adapter on a daily basis I suggest you go with this. It's relatively cheap when compared to other premium adapters. ~ It is USB 3.0 compatible, It supports up-to 1 Gb/s. ~ It also has a LED indicator on the front side. ~ The wire is super strong and very durable. ~ It has also got 2yrs Warranty. ~ It's MacOS and Linux compatible.
