Got it for $100 off during a Prime sale so that helped make my decision to try it. It’s as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Easy to use and easy to clean. Fairly fast. Good tasting coffee. Maybe not quite as good tasting as my Kitchen Aid Syphon pot which self destructed after about 2 years. Hard plastic seals cracked and fell apart. Also was hard to clean. The trade off of a very slight taste difference is worth it for the ease of cleaning the Mocha master.

I love coffee - let’s start with that. In college I had a Keurig. Sure, fairly convenient for those bustling mornings to class. But let’s face it - the coffee product *sucks*. So I switched back to filter coffee with a Chemex, which I love, but sometimes I just don’t have the times in the morning to sit there and measure out the grams of water I’m pouring. I bought a Ninja Duelbrew pro. And honestly, made solid drip coffee for all of the features it had. That is, until the computer died *15 months* after purchase. Reminder - their warranty is 12 months. When I contacted them, they could not sell me parts, and sent me a “limited time offer” to buy a new one at the low low price of $159.99 + $25 shipping. Ha! Went to Reddit, realized this machine was legit, and bought it. It’s simple. It makes coffee. Good coffee. Really, really good coffee. And it looks gorgeous. It’s a simple machine that perfects brewing drip coffee. Two mechanical switches, and a bunch of copper heating elements. That’s it. No computers to break, no fancy gizmos. As an engineer, sometimes gizmos are fun, but what’s more fun is something engineered to near perfection. That’s what this coffee maker is. Pro tip — if you want this machine but think you’ll miss having one that you can set up at night to brew in the morning, just buy a $12 smart plug. I use a smart plug with this, and am able to get everything laid out the morning before. Using apple home, I have it turn on at whatever time I want, with the coffee and water already filled. And boom - great coffee, at the time I need it. Sure, it’s not as *fancy* to grind your beans the night before. But hey, it still tastes delicious, and is the best tasting coffee I’ve been able to produce from home. So just buy it. It’s a coffee machine with a 5 year warranty, where else can you find that? Most catchy name machines are designed to last 1-2 years and be thrown away. Do yourself, and the environment, a favor and buy a machine that could last years and years to come. It’s worth every penny

The number one reason for a coffeemaker is to make coffee. And to make GOOD coffee. This does that in spades! It makes a great cup of coffee, at the right temperature. This is important, as I can notice that it works well in bringing out notes on the coffee grind that my previous coffeemaker was unable to do. I can really taste the coffee and each new type of bean is a new, wonderful activity to look forward to. Knowing that I’ll get a good flavor profile that I had been lacking. I wish I bought this sooner. Oh, it’s also really easy to clean - which is a nice bonus.

Our second Ninja coffee maker in 8 years just failed on us, so instead of another black plastic over-functional coffee maker that guests can't figure out how to use, we decided to give this Moccamaster a try. It's way more expensive, but the important parts are metal and it's apparently repairable with a pretty generous 5 year warranty. It looks really nice on the counter, and it looks really nice when it makes the coffee with the boiling water bubbling up through the clear shaft. It's primitively simple to use - it's obvious where the water goes, it's obvious where the coffee goes, and there's only one setting switch for half-pot or full-pot, and one button to turn it on and make the coffee. The setting switch for half/full pot just alters the temperature of the hot plate. It does not control the machine to make a specific amount of coffee. That can be confusing because of all the other complicated coffee makers on the market. This is the type of coffee maker that simply uses all the water you give it to make the exact amount of coffee you want with the exact strength that you like.

I have had my Moccamaster coffee maker for a little over 6 months and have used nearly daily. I loveeee it. Yes, the gorgeous and industrial aesthetics of this coffee maker had it at the top of my wishlist for a long time but the color options, sale price and excellent reviews are what made me pull the trigger. It was on sale for 250 (& I applied a 100 dollar gift card) when I purchased. Therefore, I have often asked myself if it is worth the price tag. I think it is worth the sale price of $250. I personally just can’t get behind spending more than that on a coffee maker. However, it makes excellent coffee (my fav maker I’ve ever had) and between brewing my favorite coffee and it being a splurge I have barely gotten coffee out at all this year. I prefer my home coffee above all now, so that alone has made the price tag worth it. Lastly, there is no denying it’s a statement piece and can make a kitchen. For example, I got the peppercorn yellow and it makes my kitchen/ studio apartment! Everyone compliments it & it gives an industrial, clean, masculine vibe which is what I wanted. Also, I think you could go with the pale yellow to complete a cottage core room or even to suit a retro kitchen and/ or silver/ white for clean, modern, serious bistro vibes, etc. Endless options, but I really loved getting to choose a color! Lastly, it just has a great feel, is intuitive for any OG coffee pot folks who have never liked pods, and is easy to clean!

After 12 years of solid enjoyment with an earlier version we purchase a new Mocamaster. Love the heating element and half pot over. The glass carafe makes for easy cleaning. Coffee tastes delicious.

The product came damaged! It's a shame that after seeing so many reviews of this excellent product it comes this way. I gave myself the opportunity to make such a big expense and I am very disappointed.

No solo es bonita, veloz y fácil de usar. Lo más importantes es el excelente café que se obtiene.

Our grind and brew machine died on us and so we started using a French press and/or Areo press. Both options worked fine, but I like to make a pot in the morning so my wife can have a cup, and I can take the rest to work in a thermos. I started watching reviews on drip coffee makers and came across this unit. Everything about it was appealing. -THE LOOK- Aesthetically, it's stunning. Timeless, classic look. It's very clean, the textured finish looks very durable, doesn't finger print, and the color choices are excellent. (I wanted the pistachio color but once I pulled the trigger couldn't wait for it to be shipped so opted for my second choice). While brewing it looks neat as the water bubbles up the center column and into the outlet. -THE BREWING OPTIONS- Very basic controls, but the half pot select allows you to not only brew a half pot, but modifies blooming duration. From there the sky is the limit with grind options and strength without all the buttons and programming. It's also pretty fast- full pot in 6 minutes. -THE TASTE- I've had it 5 days and have made 7-8 pots... It's the best tasting coffee (obviously the beans, grind and everything can make the difference... but when I have a Tim Hortons or Starbucks it's just not the same) and I drink black coffee. -THE DESIGN- If it ain't broke... this design has been around for 50 years and is hand made in the Netherlands and comes with a 5 year warranty. It's not ground breaking but that's the point. Keep it simple. Quality parts, copper heating element, and separate elements for water heating and the carafe. The removable water outlet arm is a nice touch if it gets a fingerprint on it or if your need to clean- simply pop off. -THE PRICE- Ok, so this is super expensive for "just a coffee brewer" but personally I'd rather spend big money on a quality piece that has service able parts, rather than a machine 1/3 the price that may only last 2-4 years. This is a lifetime machine if cared for. Personally I drink at least 3 large black coffees/ day. Starbucks dark roast black is $4.00 CAD. It'll pay for itself in no time. -THE ONLY NEGATIVE- The glass carafe seems really fragile and thin. I'm paranoid it will break. I do not allow anyone to operate my machine as I'm scared they wouldn't be as careful as I when I rinse it. So if you buy pre ground coffee and want an easy pot of coffee, or like to grind fresh and experiment in grams per liter, ground size etc... but must have the best- buy this.
