I own several smokers and grills and I do a lot of cooking/smoking in them all year long. I have a couple of other wireless meat thermometers where the main unit sends a signal to a wireless receiving unit and while they work well they sometimes lose the signal and then it's a bit of a pain to re-link the units again. They are older units so I thought I'd buy a new unit that has newer, current wireless technology and decided on this one as I really wanted to try a unit that connected to my Iphone 14. Well, long story short...... I love this thing. The instruction manual is easy to understand and fully explains all the features and operating instructions clearly and easily. Pairing it to my phone was as simple as scanning the barcode symbol in the instruction manual. Once I installed the APP it links up immediately with my phone as soon as I turn the thermometer on and continuously sends temperature data to my phone. The features on the APP let you choose from a variety of meats, your desired temp, turn alarm on or off, and a host of other features. The base unit (which is attached to meat you are cooking via the wired temp probe) has a little fold out support that permits it to sit upright next to the smoker or grill that you are using. I've used this unit many times and it has never once lost contact with my Iphone no matter where in my house or yard I roam. I've checked the actual displayed meat temperature against several other temperature probes I own that I know are dead on accurate and this unit is also dead on accurate when it comes to measuring the meat temperature. I really can't say enough about how well this unit works and how much I love it. It makes using my smokers and grills so much easier and efficient and I also use it when cooking meat in the house oven. Just a great wireless cooking thermometer. Get one, you won't be sorry.

Just used it for the first time with my pitboss smoker probes and they were exactly the same. Only reason I bought these were for my grill because my smoker probes don't reach too well. I do like the app way more than the pitboss app. I might start using these on my smoker. The only downside is I'd still have to use the pitboss app to control the smoker temp. All-in-all, great product and app for the price. We'll see in a couple months if it's still working.

So I purchased this to complement my new traeger grill. I had an old non-Bluetooth grill thermometer that was past its primer and only had one probe so I decided to go with this ThermoPro 4 probe model as an upgrade. As I wasn’t familiar with the Traeger grill and not confident in it’s built in PID I wanted something to 1. Be able to monitor ambient temps inside the grill + 2-3 pieces of meat 2. Be able to use my phone to monitor temps instead of a proprietary handheld monitor 3. Have a decent enough range that it won’t lose connection when I go inside my house and this devices checks all the boxes. As a bonus, this device is also rechargeable with USBC so no more replacing AA batteries. When it arrived, packaging was clean and easy to open. Instructions included were clear on how to get it up and running. As soon as I opened the box, I hooked up all the probes and dropped them in ice water to check the accuracy and they were all within +/- 1-2 degrees of 32F. The 4 probe package comes with two grill grate clips to hold the probes in place that are secure and do well with holding it in place. Incidentally, I have found that after a few cooks, they lose some springiness and you have to bend them a little to fit securely again. Not a deal breaker, just an FYI. The package also comes with 4 plastic spools so that you can keep the probes and wires organized in your drawer and not make a big tangled mess. The probe wires are all covered in braided steel so your wires don’t get damaged and they clean up easy with dawn soap and water. The device it self is sturdy and has a large easy to read display and the probes are color coded so you can easily see which probe is measure it what. The power button is on the back and won’t get easily pressed to turn off when you’re in the middle of a cook. There is a touch sensitive button on the front to turn on the backlight for the display. There is also a long press feature on the power button to quickly convert back and forth from C to F. One of my favorite bonus features is that there is a switch on the back that you can slide up that will reveal a metal loop that you can use with a hook to hang the device from your grill. Very convenient and thoughtful addition! To use the device wirelessly, you need to download the ThermoPro app to your phone. I’m using iOS so I draw my experience from that version. The app isn’t flashy but is pretty simple to use. Once you pair it to your phone, it automatically sends the temps to your phone (again, color coded so that it’s easy to remember which is measuring what). You can then select a set temperature alarm for each probe. If you are cooking beef for instance, you can set it to well done, mid rare, rare, etc and it will alarm on your phone when the probe has reached its set temp. If you’re measuring ambient temperature, you can also set a range, i.e. 200 - 300 F if you’re smoking low and slow and want to know if the temp is creeping too high or too low. You can also customize the alarm sounds which is nice because the default ones are loud and kind of annoying. The device it self will also alarm and can be silenced by either acknowledging the alarm in the app or pressing the backlight button on the front of the device. The app also has graphs that are accessible that show the temperature level of each probe over time. There is an “estimated time remaining” feature where it will try to estimate how long until it reaches it’s set temp, but this is almost never accurate. Again, not a deal breaker. The overall range of the device is great. It’s not quite as long as what is advertised but it’s close. And going through multiple walls will degrade the range as well. I can go pretty much anywhere in my 2000 sq/ft house with it and still have a connection except for my garage. I should also note here it’s durability, I’ve accidentally dropped it from 2-3 feet high a few times and there’s not a scratch on it. Construction is solid and it doesn’t feel cheap. The last point worth mentioning is the battery life. It’s reaaaaaaaaaaly long! Iv’e done an 18 hour cook on this so far and the battery indicator still stated it was full! I usually pop it on the charger anyway after a really long cook, but you can go for 18+ hours without having to worry about it dying on you. The only thing that would make this device better is if it had WiFi, but for the price, functionality, and features included, I’m not complaining. TLDR; Great thermometer! Long battery life! Rechargeable battery! Great range! Durable and well built! Customizable alarms! Basic, but easy to use app! I would buy this again without reservation and recommend it to a friend if asked.

I've used the ThermoPro 650 Ft Wireless Meat Thermometer on the stove, in the oven, and in my Weber propane grill, and it’s been a game-changer for cooking and grilling. Setup is easy, and it connects to my phone via Bluetooth, so I’m free to multitask without hovering by the grill. I even use the probe to monitor grill temperature, ensuring perfect results. Since using this thermometer, my grilling has improved dramatically—my son now claims my ribs are competition-level, better than anything we’ve had in local New Jersey restaurants. Highly recommend for anyone serious about their cooking!

Works great, reliable, easy to use. Much better than blue tooth version that’s a pain and annoying to use.

This is a FANTASTIC device! I purchased it primarily for smoking. The 4 probes are great! I used 1 in each pork butt, and one to monitor the BBQ temp. SO many great features! I love the way each of the probes has a convenient way to wrap up the cord and store it. I love that it's rechargeable using a standard USB-C plug. I love how the app shows temperature profiles. I really love how you can set your own temperature limits for alarms. This is critical in smoking. I had alarms to tell me if the smoker was too hot or too cold, I could set specific temps for the meats. I literally have no complaints and nothing but great things to say about this device AND the app. The app is easy to use and straightforward to operate. My only complaint is I wish I had purchased it sooner! I wasted a bunch of money on cheaper remote thermometers that were no where near as good. Superb product!

El termómetro funciona muy bien y la app en el teléfono funciona muy bien, de gran ayuda está inversión, en lo personal lo uso para cocinar cortes en el asador de carbón y me he comido los mejores cortes de mi vida gracia a que puedo sacar el corte a la temperatura ideal deseada. Sin duda para los que pasan tiempo cocinando ya sea en el hogar o en el patio con su asador este es un equipo que no debe faltar.

We have a dual fuel oven, but when I used the probe we found out the oven couldn't even go as high as 180c. As for detecting the inner temp of meat, I guess this unit works really well and the app sync up with the main unit perfectly. But I wished I bought the 2 units so I didn't have to keep checking the app on my phone. It's a must if want your meat doneness to your liking.
