My husband got a shock when he went to the bathroom and the toilet lit up, he asked if the bathroom was now Christmas too! lol it works great as soon as it detects motion it starts lite rotation. It’s definitely worth the $$$$$$

Purchased this as a gift for someone who gets up at night to use the restroom. Light comes on easily and is bright enough to see but not so bright as to disrupt going back to sleep. It’s also fun to see the light change color. Works great and was easy to set up.

UPDATED from 2 to 4 stars. See Below. This was exactly what I was looking for so we don't have to turn on a bright light at night. The motion detection worked well and the brightness was perfect when it was first installed. The batteries lasted about 3 months- I'm not sure if that is good or bad but I was satisfied. However, when I replaced the batteries the only color options were blue or green. It appears as though one of the elements allowing a range of colors quit functioning. In addition, there is now a longer delay before motion triggers the light. As red is the color that works for our vision, I am disappointed and cannot recommend this product. While inexpensive, I thought it would work properly for at least a year, not 3 months. The company fully refunded my cost, included tax, to the credit card I used. That is great customer service and I'm considering ordering another one to see if it works longer.

Got for a gag gift but person is thrill with it. Feel it’s a bit large sticking outside of toilet.

This is a great item for every household regardless of age. It works as a nightlight and a target illuminator. I have been able to turn off the hall light as this gives enough light to see the way to the bathroom without tripping on a dog toy. I have purchased many of these for my house and for gifts. It works good for older people, providing a bit of guidance in the dark. I've even taken (and left them) on vacations. A family member has an RV, it was a perfect addition. There are so many color choices. It can be set to just one color or change through many. I would like to give a heads up though ... Be aware the red color in the toilet can alarm guests.

When I first ordered this it was for a fun little gag gift. However, it turns out that it actually is a unique and helpful gadget. I placed one on my toilet to see how it worked and when I had to get up in the middle of the night to do my business, it was actually refreshing to see the toilet bowl all lit up the minute I walked into the bathroom. For an elderly person, it really helped to clearly see where I needed to go as I don't turn lights on. The motion sensor works great and the colors are vivid yet soft and it turns off pretty quickly after leaving the bathroom. It really beats the heck out of keeping a night light on all night. I'd say it is a great gadget for the elderly and really for anyone who has to get up in the middle of the night to go. In fact, I can see using this in other places of your home where you need a little extra light when you have to get up, but not have a light on for the entire night. The 4 stars is because I don't know how long it will last.

I bought this for my husband as a stocking stuffer this year and he loved it. Our “water closet” doesn’t have an outlet for a nightlight so getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom was a pain because you have to turn the big, bright light on. But with this it gives enough light so you can see without turning on the light! Highly recommended.

Also, ich habe nichts zu meckern. Es tut das was es tun soll....mit einer Einschränkung....der Sensor reagiert immer . Soll heißen , auch wenn das Badezimmer Licht an ist springt der Sensor an. Stört uns aber nicht weiter , da er ja nach 2 min. abschaltet. Nettes kleines Gadget zu einem angemessenen Preis.

Hi Jim. The light is fab. It’s not in our loo. We have it on the radiator so activates when we open the door. Much more soothing than a bright white light.
