These bags are GREAT! I season my ribs and let them sit overnight before I smoke them for the Fourth of July cookout. Sometimes I use a marinade also. These bags are solid, large, and seal well! I had no fears of their leaking any fluids or of the ribs breaking through the bag (sometimes "pack" my ribs in and they can get heavy). I also marinated some chicken in one of these and, as with the ribs, had NO fear of their leaking! This is a great product, does what it says, and is worth the money!!

Product delivered as advertised. Very heavy duty bag. I fit two 8# pork shoulders in and there was tons of space left. Easily take a whole Turkey. I rinse mine thoroughly with soapy water and hang upside down to dry. Good for multiple uses!

I have brined a lot of meats in different containers and will always buy these bags in the future. I brined my own corned beef fonts. Patrick’s Day last year and this year. I was cooking for a crowd of 10. Both years, I had about 18 lbs of brisket. With brisket, I needed to brine it from 7-10 days, turning it every day. Last year I took the suggestion of using large roasting bags. I have cooked turkey in these for years and it made sense. DISASTER! I double bagged and they still leaked. I had a huge mess to clean up. This year I purchased 2 of these large bags. After adding meat and brine, I laid them on large baking sheets and was able to refrigerate as we have an extra refrigerator. WOW! No leaking and the sealing system was fool proof. I mean, this was a LOT of weight and pressure against the sliding closure system. I was able to keep the meat submerged and turn it every day without spilling! I know this was a big project most people wouldn’t attempt, but it tells me, next time, I brine, a turkey, ribs or any meat, I’m purchasing these bags. Sorry, I didn’t take pictures. Wish I had.

These bags shipped quickly and are very large, my 22 pounder was dwarfed inside this bag. Its thick and looks durable.. my bird is still soaking, I will see if it spare me leakage. My problem was with closing it, the zipper zipped closed, then kept opening back up..it was not fun at all.. trying to keep the brine liquid in. Here is my story.....I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. It’s time to give the turkey it’s spa treatment! I usually put it in a cooler to brine , but I discovered Brining bags this year. Genius idea! Ziplock bags are wonderful, why not make a HUGE bag for turkeys and other large pieces of carnivorous pleasure to soak in spices and secret brining brew.. no muss.. no fuss as my mother would say. 😏 Everything seemed to be going smoothly, until the bag started to get full. What happened next, I can only best describe this way. Remember, way back when water beds were popular? You had to lift the corners back to dust and clean out candy wrappers.. and any other kind of wrappers... and the water would shift... sometimes over the rail, turning the bed into The Blob? Well that’s the nightmare I just survived, all by myself.. while Hubby sleeps peacefully on the couch. I never imagined I would be wrestling a large bird and The Blob at the same time.. it was The Twilight Zone, right in my kitchen! Yes... blood, I mean liquid , was spilled, but I wrangled that Blob Bag upright and started Zip locking that baby closed. except it would not stay closed..the zipper kept opening up! There I was, trapped, unable to let go of the bag, unable to move, calling for help, that never arrived. Luckily, I remembered I save the big butt rubber bands from the broccoli, in a drawer near enough for me to do some contorted yoga moves to reach. I tied a top knot into that Wonderful Genius bag, and heaved the bird into the fridge... praying that bag does not spring a leak. As I shut the door, I remembered another thing my mother always said... new fangled things may come along, but the old fashioned way is usually the best! Next year that bird is going into the cooler!

These bags work perfect. There was no leaking at all, which I was happy about. They were plenty big for a large turkey. I will definitely be buying these for next year.

These bags are great. They hold up well and include a nice little plastic peace to help close up the heavy duty zipper.

I have been brining my holiday turkey for years. I will never prepare a turkey without a night in brine. Have been brining in a large container for years. Hate that I need to prepare a large amount of liquid, always struggle with finding space in fridge, often need to resort to filling a massive cooler with brine, submerging my turkey then keeping it chilled with ice blocks. This bag has made this whole painful ritual obsolete. I put my turkey (usually approx 20 lbs) into this massive bag (which could accommodate a much bigger turkey), fill it with one batch of brine (around 10 liters or so) then gather up the top of the bag to see if when I squeeze the air out the liquid is sufficient. It usually is, at which point my hubby helps seal the bag with that nifty bag sealer tool. I leave a little gap and do t completely seal as I also “scrunch up” the bag and tie it off, forcing the liquid up and completely submerging the turkey. Once the turkey is fully submerged, we completely seal the bag, pop the bag into a large Rubbermaid “tote” and put in fridge. Next day, I snip a corner of the bag, drain the liquid then remove and rinse the bird as usual. This bag has made my turkey ritual a breeze, and I will always buy these bags, they are thick, massive and really big. At this point in time, the price for the two bags ($16 cad) is totally worth it. Less fuss, no mess and easy cleanup…. All very important to me when cooking a massive dinner for a bunch of family.

These are absolutely massive! Worked well enough. Came with zipper clips and string with no instructions on how to use but I think it was still fine.

These are massive!! You could fit at least 20 lb turneys if not three. They are a thick plastic that hold up perfectly to a heavy turkey plus brine. Better then I expected and worth the dollars spent!
