Buy the biggest capacity memory card you can for this dash camera. Now go buy the lens filter protector thingy for this camera as well and don't forget to buy some gorilla tape as well to replace the stock adhesive on this camera. Congratulations for around 150 USD you have one of the highest quality dash cameras with hours of footage available. Your settings will differ depending on your vehicle usage, but I highly advise and recommend you to set this camera's recording resolution in ultrawide (2560x1080.) This resolution (at least in my car) allows the camera to completely see everything in front of it, and line up more with what the driver is able to see behind the wheel. In ultrawide recordings the camera is able to see my entire front hood, but in regular 1080P (16:9 recording) the front "corners" of the hood are cut off. Please set your camera in ultrawide recording! If you live in a hot area like me (Houston, Texas. and it's humid as hell here) your stock adhesive will melt off during the summer! Personally I installed this during the summer and it only took a week for the adhesive to melt off! There is nothing you can do to prevent this, once your stock adhesive melts go buy some of the strongest version of "Gorilla Tape" you can, and make sure it's double sided! Once you stick on that gorilla tape it's not going to move or come off! During the hot and humid Houston summers (especially after replacing the stock adhesive with gorilla tape) this camera is absolutely incredible. Not once has the camera acted up, over heated or given me any issues (other than the stock adhesive melting.) With the lens filter thing, this camera is able to see perfectly fine during any time of the day or night. Everything is recorded perfectly crystal clear and this entire dash cam unit is tiny as hell. One time I had a dude road raging at me and followed me to work and not once did he notice the dash camera recording the entire situation. Even when he walked right up to my windshield and was standing over my vehicle did he notice the dash camera! The unit is literally able to hide behind your rear view mirror and no one will notice that a dash camera has been installed on the front of your vehicle. I won't lie I was terrified, but imagine that! Nobody notices this dash camera! All my friends, family and even myself have to really look hard for a few seconds to recognize "Oh that's a camera." Please buy this dash camera and the extra misc. items to make this the best dash camera ever! You probably spent thousands on your vehicle, what's a couple of hundred bucks (at the most) to have 24/7 recording footage of your vehicle.

I used the HK3 install kit because my 2025 Camry had the wiring for a dashcam already up in the headliner behind a removable panel. Even had the hole in the very front of the headliner to run the USB. Installation was very straightforward, no more than a couple hours for a factory looking finished product. Picture quality is good to very good although I will be adding the polarizing filter as soon as it gets here. Glare can be fierce here in the desert where I live so I'm sure it will help. Settings are pretty easy to master although why it doesn't have time zones and only GMT +/- the appropriate number of hours I don't know but not a huge problem. Don't like the fact the clock is only a 24 hour version but only a big deal if you're recording an accident of some sort. The GPS information is very nice to have especially if you were to get pulled over for speeding erroneously. You could show the officer right there what speed you were driving and let it be known that it's also recording your conversation. Assuming durability is good, then this was a very worthwhile purchase. It seems well made, comes with extra stickums, some thin rubber vibration pads and three mounts (one GPS, two "regular" so if you needed to move it from car to car and it was not hardwired, you could easily do so. Also has some sticky hold down clamps to route the wiring if you can hardwire it out of sight. Unfortunately, it's a device that probably every car should have in this day and age with scammers on the highways, violence, carjacking and hit and runs in the parking lot (the parking feature works quite well from my test).

To begin with, like many of you reading this and other reviews, there are so many dash cams to choose from and you want the best bang for your buck. I read reviews, watched videos, etc... and did much research. One particular video compared many dash cams from $50 ones and up to over $300 dash cams. In the end, this VIOFO A119 V3 was highest ranked for affordable dash cams and had quality very close to the $300+ models. Well, I had to see and use it for myself.... Unboxing, it was well protected and in taking it out of the box, it felt solid. It seemed well built and instructions were good. I installed it in my Tacoma and though I hate sticking any type of tape or products on my windshield, I took a chance without testing it first and stuck it on my windshield, wired it to my cigarette plug and hid wiring along windshield and down dash, etc... It was pretty easy to do and looks great. Barely enough wire to do what I wanted, but it was enough. Setup was pretty easy and after playing with different settings, frame rates, quality and all, I found that the default settings were best overall. Although some other settings looked a bit better for day time, night time quality was poor. The settings by default seemed to work best for both day and night. These settings were important to me as I go to work in the dark and come home when it's light. Quality of video overall were very impressive. Bright and pretty vivid colors in day time and night time looked pretty good too. Night time had a few more artifacts in the overall video, but that was expected and really did not hurt the quality much. Day time worked very well, though when you drive towards the sun, reflections can be an issue, but again, quality was still quite good. Not sure if a more expensive dash cam would be better or not, but quality was not poor enough for me to try other dash cams. Clarity when moving was good enough to see everything and wideness of the video was enough to cover the essentials needed in most situations on why one would buy a dash cam. As you travel, it was clear but clear enough as you pass road name signage and say, gas pricing on signs, but if you freeze the video, you can usually read them. I also travel in inner lane on a four lane road at 40 mph. License plates when moving were clear as you got close, but otherwise a bit blurry. But again, if you freeze picture, you can usually read them. This includes cars you pass or are passing you and the ones in front of you. I really have nothing to compare to, except Go Pros, but in videos I have seen on internet, the videos this camera shows are so much better than most I have seen. Travelling at slower speeds, you were able to read signage a bit better. Even though some signs were a bit blurred, overall video quality is very clear from slow speeds to highway speeds. It does not come with a memory card. I purchased the Samsund Pro Endurance 256gb and it has done wonderfully. 256gb is biggest card the camera can take according to manual. You need a card that can take the use and heat of the camera and elements and this card was recommended. It is easy to put in and remove. I did this many times as I tested different settings and viewed on computer. The size of this card is great as it will hold over a week of my driving habits before overwriting older videos. I was able to do this with camera mounted. You can also easily unmount and mount camera from windshield as needed. I would highly advise to buy the polarizing filter for this dash cam as the quality improves tenfold. I tried video with the polarizer and without. The quality is so much better with the filter and the $15 or so extra for it, is very well worth it. I would recommend this VIOFO A119 V3 dash cam for anyone wanting a good quality camera with very good video overall for an affordable price. You buy one too cheap, quality is usually horrible. Buy an expensive one, video quality may be a bit better, but is it worth the 3X price tag? I'm very happy with this camera and have not looked back. NOTE: I have not tried the parking settings, nor do I have it hooked up that way (you can buy a wiring setup to enable this camera to be used in this matter).

Great dash cam for budget enthusiasts. Very easy to install, quite small and sleek so it's easy to place behind the mirror on your windshield. Quality of the lens is good (a bit dark at night but that's to be expected), I found the video on 1080p 60fps to be nearly as clear as the 2k 30fps setting so not much advantage to the higher resolution however the FPS is very noticeable and probably would recommend anyone to switch to that. Wire is nice and long (about 14 feet) and the tool included made installation a breeze to run it from behind the mirror through the overhead, down the passenger side window and under the glove compartment to my usb plug in the dash. I haven't experienced the issues with SD cards yet (apparently this camera is picky and choose through even high endurance cards) but it's working fine so far with my Samsung Pro Endurance, 128gb records about 10 hours of video. Overall, this camera has exceeded the high praise expectations I had of it before purchasing.

Super matériel , petit soucis avec la notice qui n'est pas en Français et une seul grand cordon pour alimenté le GPS et la caméra malgré deux fiches , pourquoi ne pas mettre un câble répartiteur en plus ?

Installation was easy, got it running off a USB port, quality is good enough. The updated firmware lets it record in 4K, but 1600p is still fine. Haven't had issues with SD card corruption.

I've had this camera now for a little over a year, and I've used its footage for a near miss accident to save me from even going to through insurance for bumper damage. Having video of an incident REALLY changes the dialogue you have with the driver of the other vehicle and I highly recommend everyone get a dash cam to cover your arse. The video footage quality is great, menus make sense, the usb cord they give you is super long so it works well for snaking around and under panels to hide the cable. It isn't usb C but it doesn't really matter. Once its plugged in its set and forget. I've had this camera in my windshield in super hot days (for southern Ontario that is) with no issues at all. Makes a old Sony camera start up sound when it powers on, which is a great little reminder that its on and working every time you start your vehicle. The sound isn't annoying and not super loud either, perfect for a sound that you'll hear every time you start your car. Personally I find the software features they advertise to be mostly useless. GPS: When you have a collision, you'll know where you are and will be stopped to exchange insurance info unless you're evading the cops or chasing the perp. Speed detection: You really wanna have proof of how fast over the speed limit you were probably going? Auto Event Detection/Auto G lock: This can be triggered by a large bump in the road or a hard slam of a door. Lots of false positives. Over time this will probably fill up the memory card with useless false positives. And do you really want to trust that the G sensor will pick up on a collision or not? Only time I think this could be useful is if you're going to power the camera while your car is parked. Get a high endurance Sandisk/Samsung (I don't recommend Lexar, not a fan of Lexar anymore when the brand was sold to Longsys) 128gb microSD card with any dash cam! Your chances of the card not recording a collision go way up with anything less. 128gb will record hours of footage, way more than enough to forget you had a collision for some reason, and then remember a few days later and still have the footage on the card. High endurance sd cards are 20ish bucks. Don't cheap out on the most important part of the whole camera. TLDR: This camera is perfect for most people. Get a High endurance SD card from a well known brand, and your future self will thank you very much for the insurance this camera WILL give you. At bare minimum, you'll have some footage of something crazy or a near miss you saw on the road.
