It even include a cut out template if you are adding to a brand new door. My apartment feels smarter already! Their Mobile app provides step-by-step guidance, ensuring that you can have your lock up and running in no time. Granted, be sure to stand next to your door when pairing to avoid mishaps other customer experienced. I saved both thumbs and index finger IDs in case one hand is unable to open the doors from carrying items or messy from working on my car. From the app, I can easily lock or unlock my door, monitor access logs, and even create customized entry codes for family members or guests. Homeowners selecting security products should not let price be the only consideration when choosing items like door locks or deadbolt locks. Manufacturers and dealers should also make these items functional as well as affordable for the average consumer, especially in this day and age. With that being said, how can you put a price on your own personal security. Recently, i had decided to change the locks on my front and rear entry doors and wanted to upgrade to keyless and digital. After spending several hours on Amazon looking at hundreds of digital deadbolts, comparing prices and accompanying specs as well as the exorbitant number of products, manufacturers, prices and coupons/discounts I found the Veise RZ07. The first item to mention is the $30.00 coupon that is available when purchasing here on Amazon. Aside from that, installation is simple and straightforward. If you have ever installed a deadbolt or doorknob, you will have no problem installing this lock. Plus, it comes with a handy template for install which also includes the 1 drill hole you will need to add to your door for proper installation. The unit aligned easily and holds together very securely. The provided instructions are simple for someone who already knows how to install a lock. There are also provided resources for assistance and even include video installation instructions. The entire assembly does not appear to be cheaply made and the Finish appears to be good quality. Once installed, after a test fit, the lock continue to operate as smoothly and soundly as one would expect of a good quality deadbolt lock. The parts of this lock function very smoothly and appear to be of good quality. After installation I have no concerns about this locks security from a mechanical standpoint. After installation the fit and finish, in black, look very professional and aesthetically pleasing. The unit is not overbearing in size and the hidden backlit keyboard is a very nice touch. All functionality of this unit work smoothly, quickly and efficiently including the fingerprint scanner. The app adds additional functionality and is also very straightforward and very easy to use. I had no difficulties with pairing my cell phone or adding fingerprints, codes or the key fobs. The key works easily as well. An additional feature is the audio feedback that your lock is locked or unlocked when you perform the respective action. Initially I was skeptical about the fingerprint reader but was pleasantly surprised at how well it is working. I was also pleasantly surprised at the brightness of the keypad even when the Sun is brightly shining on it as it was still a significantly bright enough to clearly see. The back light of the keypad at night is also bright enough while not being too bright or overbearing to look at. The digits on the keyboard are also large enough to see clearly without glasses or other visual assistance. All in all, this was and is a fantastic purchase and is a welcomed addition to which I have no concerns. In fact, I just ordered the Wi-Fi Gateway and will also be ordering an additional lock unit for deadbolt for my back door.
