I have a gray hardwood floor that was recently refinished and our 5’ 7” rug was constantly slipping due to our two large dogs (golden retriever and Great Pyrenees) skidding across the floor into the rug. This as you can guess they would totally move the rug often flipping the whole side up and I was constantly readjusting our rug. The rug pad has a bit of a chemical smell which disappeared after about 2 hours however our 4 kids and two dogs haven’t been able to move the rug since I placed this rug pad underneath it. We also don’t have a coffee table weighing the rug down, the only thing that has changed was that we added this rug pad. Very happy with this purchase, never buying another brand as long as this is on Amazon.

We're on our second Sleep Number bed, and while we love the bed, we continued to struggle with the mattress sliding around on the platform. We've tried various things to keep the mattress in place, but these have worked the best. We simply placed them on the platform and then carefully lowered the mattress on top of the grippers--so the grippers didn't move. Worked for us. Good luck and good sleep to you!

I reviewed this last week and gave it a 5. I'm taking one star away since it still is not laying flat. This morning I rolled it up and left it that way for a few hours. I highly recommend that this is what should be done before you even think of putting it down. After unrolling it it is laying flat for the most part. I have taped down each corner as well as taping down a couple of spots around the edges that don't seem to want to flatten.

This rug pad is a total game-changer! My rug used to slip and bunch up constantly (vinyl plank floor), but now it stays perfectly in place—even with pets running around. It adds a bit of cushioning too, making the rug feel more comfortable underfoot. Super easy to trim and set up, plus it protects my floors from scratches. Honestly, if you’re tired of fixing your rug every five minutes, this is totally worth it!

Does the job well of keeping my rugs in place. Definitely has a strong smell when you first open it but it residues within a day. I had to trim one long and one short side, as expected, but it was so much easier than the thick pads!!

I was hoping this would work better than a traditional role of non-slip rubber liner. I use the liner under a 12' x 12' vinyl mat so that students can play 4-Square in our church's basement. Unfortunately, this larger round gripper was LESS effective, not more effective. It just isn't that grippy. The vinyl square shifts and slides over the top of the gripper. The gripper underneath bunches up, folds over. Disappointing. EDIT: I appreciate that the seller initiating contact with me and was willing to do whatever he could to resolve my dissatisfaction. A lot of sellers don't do that. Knowing that, I would be willing to purchase another item from this seller knowing that he "stands behind" the product.

Fits well with the a rug and there is no sliding. I use mine on real hardwood floors, and have a bed on top, It does not leave marks and after having for 6 months has not degrading at all.

Works well but if you’re playing fetch in the house my 50 lb dog can move it a few inches at a time. Also if your dog has accidents you will need to replace the whole thing. But we like it

I use this to help keep some foam-ish puzzle piece sheets from sliding over a wood floor. It works fine. Nothing special about the product though, you can find this in any hardware store.

It holds the rug in place. Don’t use it on a floppy reversible small mat.

I bought the 8x10 for my new rug and it’s even bigger than the rug which is great because you can just cut the excess with some scissors. So far the rug hasn’t moved an inch, it also makes it very comfortable. If you get a large format like an 8x10 it would make your life a lot easier to have someone help you, I find it’s a two people job to make it nice and flat on the floor and then lay your rug over top while keeping it flush to the ground.
