My cats absolutely love these Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Minnows! The treats are all-natural and raw, which is great for their health, and I love that they’re packed with protein. The small size makes them perfect for treating and rewarding my cats, and they go absolutely wild for them! The best part is that there are no artificial additives, so I feel good about giving them these treats. The bag is the perfect size for a few weeks of indulgence, and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend for any cat owner looking for a healthy, tasty treat for their furry friends!

Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Chicken Hearts are a fantastic choice for cat owners seeking a wholesome, single-ingredient treat for their feline companions. The freeze-drying process locks in both flavor and nutrients, providing cats with a snack that is not only irresistible but also packed with protein and essential nutrients like taurine. Because it’s a single-ingredient treat, you know exactly what your cat is getting: pure chicken hearts with no fillers or additives. This makes it especially appealing for cats with food sensitivities or picky eaters who might otherwise turn their noses up at more processed options. One of the standout aspects is the texture — freeze-dried treats can often be brittle or dry, but these maintain a satisfying crunch without being too hard, making them easy for cats to eat. The small, bite-sized pieces are convenient for training or rewarding without overfeeding, and the natural aroma is sure to attract even the most finicky felines. While the package size is only 0.8 oz, it’s highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way. However, it’s worth noting that the small package might not last long for multi-cat households or as a regular treat.

First day I got these, I left them on a table and my cat started biting the bag trying to get to these chicken hearts. It has quite a strong organ smell that my cat LOVES. I use a pair of scissors to cut these hearts down into thin slices and put some on top of his wet food as a topper, and use small strips as a treat. He’s never had any digestibility issues with these, or any stomach upset, so I’m pretty happy to use these long term. I know that raw food diet is becoming quite popular for pets, I personally don’t fully raw feed my cat but I can imagine these would be a great addition to a raw diet. I try to give him the highest quality, nutrient packed food that I can find, and I’ve noticed that since incorporating these chicken hearts his coat looks a lot glossier. I’m sure it’s a combination of all of the things I’m giving him but I’m also sure that these chicken hearts are helping. Great nutritional values in comparison to the traditional Temptations treats (which he unfortunately also loves) and comparable for enthusiasm from my cat.

3 out of my 4 cats loved it! The peices were a bit big for my non food motivated guy so he didn't know what to do with it haha. He did eat a smaller one though. Point is, great healthy treat with a reasonable price!

My cats loved the taste. As you can see, they broke the bag to eat them. One of my cats has a sensitive stomach and he didn't threw up. Great quality product and ingredients, not to soft nor hard. Only negative thing is that there isn't many treats per bag.

My cats would not touch them, tried the dog and he wanted nothing to do with them either. What am I supposed to do with the little fishies? Theres so many little fishies and no one will eat them. I live near a river I might release them in there, kinda poetic, to return the fish to the water.

. . . personally I think this is disgusting in every way. So does my amazingly smart small female kitty, but her huge son, aptly-named "Turkey," thinks they are caviar. Each packet weighs one oz, and there are countless individually weightless items inside. He only gets one a day, so this package lasts a figurative eternity. I will spare you the details of why it's taken me so long to get almost used to them. I will say they aren't mushy, slimy, hideous, smelly, prickly, sticky or alive. Thus you suspect the problem is all in my head, but it's also in the wise head of Turkey's mama, whose name I am concealing to protect her innocence. All I can say about the nameless minnows is that they are the victims of this whole situation. Nonetheless I just ordered another ounce because poor Turkey probably has only one life to live. If you want to see for yourself what all my fuss is about, buy your own.

Bought two bags, one for a friend who has cats and one for our dogs. I know the bag says cat treats but dogs can also have minnows and this is a single ingredient product.

I love these freeze dried minnows for my cats. They're a healthy treat with only one ingredient. The cats are obsessed with them too. You can also give small amounts to pet rats as a treat.

Way better ingredients than the garbage cat treats. I use it as a topper for my wet food and the cats loved it. Even my picky one!

I gave my 2 cats this for the first time last week. At first they were very sceptical of the treats as they’ve never had them before but both of them LOVED it after staring at it for a bit. I am going to cut each treat in 2 from now on though (there are not a lot in the packaging) to try to make them last longer. This is not a big deal at all considering how big the treats are. I WILL be purchasing this again.

The product itself is fine, though there are hardly any pieces of heart for the price. Might be worth it for around 300 rupees and that would still be expensive -- just check with your local butcher
