I love this external hard drive! Its super easy to set up, just plug it in and go! You have the optional WD Discovery software you can install which will give you a 'window' of all the hard drives you have on your system. I only use Western Digital hard drives so this works perfectly for me! It doesnt take up any space, I keep it next to my desktop tower. I bought it in 2022 and now feel I need more storage so will be going for a 16gb and migrate some game/video files onto it. It works fine with Windows 10 and as I have said, Ive had it since 2022 and its still running great! Definately a good investment and storage solution for me!

I cannot recommend WD HDD enough. I've still got a 1TB that's over 13 years old that still works. I probably have 21 external drives in use at any given time and I have 2 in the box just waiting to join the bank. I have had little failure or corruption issues over the years with WD. The two that did fail, all of the data was recoverable and one of the failures was a user issue and I was able to resolve that issue and the drive is still in use today. As far as this latest 20 TB drive is concerned, it is functioning beautifully in conjunction with 2 other drives on my Plex Server. You can read other reviews that give the exact specs and speeds but I will say I get consistently fast Up and Down speeds and will continue to recommended WD drives.

The external hard drive was easy to set up and I was up and running in no time. It transfers files extremely fast and I have yet to see any delays. I'm very satisfied I chose western digital again for my main external harddrive as their products are very reliable and last for a good amount of time.

Works very well... just connected it to a USB3 port and Windows 11 saw it right away. Lots of room for large backups of photos and videos. Only 4 stars though for 2 reasons. First is the utility software loaded on the hard drive does *not* work with this particular model. So why load useless software? Second is that it will *not* work through a powered USB3 hub, but it is fine when connected directly to the computer. My old Seagate 6TB USB drive does work with the hub with no issues.
