First, I was amazed at how fast this came. I put it in an ASUS laptop and it was recognized immediately. Once the operating system was re-installed, the machine is faster than it has ever been. I would recommend this drive in a heartbeat.

I've worked this drive over, and all the Crystal Benchmarks line up with claimed performance. I've got this in a Mag Tomahawk x670e board and the temperatures are fine, even under heavy artificial benchmark loads. I'm using 4x PCIe Gen4 lanes on this and it's all working well. The ONLY issue I've had is that under Windows 11 24H2 I had to update the firmware that was on the drive. I would get random read errors when reading rather large game files or databases. It seemed to be a Windows issue because I didn't have the same errors under Ubuntu 24.04. I was incredibly frustrated updating every driver on the CPU/motherboard/OS until I finally found that the drive firmware was having issues.

I got the 500 GB, M.2 2280 configuration. The package arrived several days earlier than Amazon originally stated, which was a pleasant surprise. The drive was simple to unpack and install (for the most part; more on that later). After initiating the drive with Windows 11 Drive Manager, it worked perfectly. It runs at the advertised read and write speeds, and has the available capacity (+- necessary controlling software). I use it for gaming, and even for extended periods of playing relatively demanding games (Rainbow Six, Sea of Thieves, Genshin Impact, Risk of Rain, etc.), I have experience no temperature problems at all. Games boot quickly, and there have been no crashes or indications of drive failure. It has been a flawless experience. I deducted a star because the product packaging did NOT include an M2 screw for mounting. I had to order screws separately. If yours does not include a screw either, you can temporarily hold the SSD in place with a small strip of electrical tape, or keep it pressed down with other components like a heat spreader or laptop backplate (but get the screw eventually).

Western Digital seems to have a knack for making fast NVME drives for decent prices and this is no exception. Fast, reliable, and probably won't melt in a pc or console. Like all these drives it runs hot, but will choke itself back if it is running fast and runs too hot. Keep it cool somehow and it will perform better over time. Having 2tb of space for me means dual booting 2 different operating systems, each one getting a terabyte of storage to itself. It went in a Lenovo X1 carbon laptop and has been flawless for months.

Purchased this SSD for my Lenovo legion slim 5 and man is it fast much better than the one pre-installed. Definitely great bang for your buck. I use this laptop for multiple things including gaming and this SSD is smooth and fast. No issues with seller or shipping.

Es la segunda unidad WD black que compro de esta marca, mi experiencia ha sido buena con esta SSD. Está se la instale en mi laptop rig Strix g16 en una segunda ranura para ampliar espacio. Su velocidad de lectura y escritura es de lo mejor para usarse en gaming. Por supuesto hay otras marcas con mejores velocidades como 990 EVO de Samsung pero esta es una buena opción en velocidad y precio.

Lo compre basandome en reseñas de youtube buscando algo bueno por buen precio y despues de 3 meses de uso puedo decir que funciona increible es muy rapido y no ha tenido ningun falló si buscas algo de calidad y no ocupas mas de 500gb esta es de las mejores opciones que hay.
