My son (7) was reading these in his classroom and loved them so much he asked for them for x-mas. He read the whole series in a month and loves to tell all us all about the different animals. The books are great because they teach so many facts about the animals, bunch of stuff I didn't even know. Very entertaining and the books are not short. It takes at least 30 min for me to read one, tons of info. Love them

My first impression was that these 10 books were a bit thin for the price. However, they are packed with great content. I was surprised how much 7-year old paid attention to the parts that are dense with educational facts about the animal's physiology, behavior, etc. He was excited to read one a night until we finished the series and we have read many of them multiple times now. I don't think they'll get a ton of re-reads because half the fun is guessing who will win, but these are a terrific way to add some educational and enjoyable content to your kid's book stack.

We got killer whale vs great white shark as a birthday present years ago and my kids always want me to read it. Finally realized there are more “who would win?” books! My kids like guessing who will win. They leave a lot from the books, which teach you about the animals themselves and also other things, like ecosystems, what certain words mean (carnivore, reptile, etc), continents on the planet, and more. Even though we have read each book almost 10 times, my kids still love when we read these. Highly recommend.

This set was a present for my grandson who loves this series. It has been hard to locate in retail outlets but located on Amazon. Has been delivered and looks excellent.

I bought these books for my 2 grandchildren to share. Unfortunately there were only 9 out of 10 books in the package ! I had them over for an early Xmas dinner as they will be on vacation, therefore did not have time to return the item for a new one. When they went to share the books, they were not happy that 1 kid had more than the other. Needless to say, they said they would share the 9th book.
