To my surprise, this does work. Even with my main concern that the TX is in my living room and the RX in my bedroom, that is finally resolved. While that may or may not be a case for concern in terms of fire hazard I do feel rather unsettled and disconcerting. I mean the heat dissipated in both units are exceptionally hot. Unlike the usual heat that we get from routers or other devices that run on 12V or more. I suspect it's not the voltage that generates the excessive heat hut the 2A current. For the time being, I'm just going to keep my fingers-crossed that nothing disastrous would happen like fire hazards. So ultimately, while this system works even through walls the heat generated from both parts set me back on giving this 5-stars.
