I was one of those people that felt Yeti was just too overpriced and I had my tumblers that worked "just fine" etc. Then someone gave me an Amazon gift card and I'd recently broken the lid on my daily tumbler so I decided to splurge. I'm a convert. I have a 30 oz and a 20oz. I can fill them up with ice at night and still have a cup mostly full of ice the next morning. They seem to do a little better with cold than heat but my coffee that I forgot about at around 9 was still warm at around 3. I am 5'2 and have small hands so the 30 oz can be a little cumbersome to hold. but it's not Yeti's fault I have small hands. These things are also heavy. To me that's a plus. I like when something is well made and I can "feel" it. But the absolute best part of these things is the magnetic latch on the lid. I dropped my Yeti in the parking lot at work and I looked down and to my horror I saw the little black piece from the lid on the ground beside my cup. I thought it was broken and started trying to remember how the warranty worked. I was getting all crabby because I watched videos of Yeti abuse and I thought it should be tough enough to withstand a parking lot drop. But then I picked it up and realized it was magnetic and just popped back on (yes I should have paid attention and already known this) and I was super happy. Not only does that make it almost impossible to break the latch, but it makes it super easy to clean the lid since you can just pop the latch completely off. Anyone who is a daily user of tumblers knows that cleaning around/under the latch is a pain in the rear. So this tiny little design element is just awesome. No it's not 100% leak proof. But it's not advertised to be. That said, it's like 99.5% leak proof. I put my tumbler in my backpack after I got coffee and then rode my motorcycle to work and somewhere on the ride the tumbler went sideways. There was maybe a drop or two of coffee on the lip of the mug and that's it. None in the backpack. I think how air tight it is depends a little on how you position the magnet. But I put soda on ice in mine one day and when I flipped the lid open, it spewed a bit, so the seal was air tight at that point. I'm a Yeti convert. I'm usually pretty frugal but I recognize the value in something that is durable and high quality. Worth every penny. If this review looks familiar it's because I cut and pasted the same one in both of the tumblers I bought.

My black yeti was dented in one spot and scratched through the plastic wrap in 4 other spots:( I was sad about that. However the cup itself is nice, I love yeti’s and how they keep my drink cold my entire work shift.

Love this tumbler, it's my first ever Yeti product. I was looking for a 26-30 oz. SS tumbler that would fit in my vehicle cup holder that had an easy to clean lid, no straw and no handle. This fit the bill perfectly. It keeps my water cold forever, looks sharp and the MagSlider makes cleaning the lid a breeze. It's not too tall at 7 7/8" with lid and 4" in diameter at the top. As some others have noted, this is just "packed" in a plastic bag and I'm surprised it wasn't damaged. I guess it speaks to the toughness of this tumber.

I bought this 30 oz tumbler mainly for my morning coffee. Yes, it may have been more expensive than the others, but man, was it worth it!! It keeps your coffee hot for as long as it takes you to drink it. I was so impressed, that I ordered the 16 oz pint tumbler for my cold drinks. I even bought one for my roommate for his birthday. He loves it. He bought his own 30 oz for his morning coffee. I have to say the 16 oz tumbler is the best for cold drinks, iced tea, cold soda, or your favorite brew.. I don't like to use ice for tea or soda in a regular glass or foam cup, because it melts and dilutes the drink. I keep both in fridge at 34 degrees, and they keep it at that temp the entire time it takes you to drink it. No need for ice. I won't leave a review for the 16 oz pint seperately as I mentioned it here. Yeti is the best insulated beverage containers that are out there. It is WORTH the price. I would recommend these to everyone. You won't be dissappointed.

I love tumblers and have several of my own. They fit perfectly in my car console so I can take them with me when I travel. I loved them so much I bought them as presents this year to give to my friends at Christmas. They have many different colors to choose from and the price is right! Yeti tumblers are sturdy and mine have never leaked even when tipped over. They always keep my hot drinks hot and my cold drinks cold. When I have a cold drink with ice cubes, I will still have ice cubes left in the morning after sitting on my bed stand all night! Definitely worth buying and they make great gifts! My friends loved them!

Sturdy, well insulated, looks good. Most important for me, it's not as narrow inside as the 20-oz model I'm replacing. This 30-oz model is wide enough to easily fit my hand in for scrubbing. Especially important since I drink tea and tannin stains build up over time. --Fred

Keeps cold water cold for about 6-7 hours. Won’t leak a drop unless dropped from your car or something. Makes a great gift too.

Been using it for almost a year now, got the 887ml (30oz), keeps the water cold for hours even in summer, and really helps to keep the habit of drinking water. Always put it in the dishwasher and so far it still looks like new. It's a very good product

This is a great mug. I work from home and this lets me make a double-sized cup of tea or coffee and drink it all morning or all afternoon. It stays hot with the lid on and it great to drink from. Yes, it is large. If you want to carry it around a lot or have small hands it might not be the best choice. For me, its awesome. Note: I have this a 5/5 for leak proof. The mag slider is not designed to be leak proof, but more leak resistant. I knew that buying it and had no intention of, say, tossing this into a bag while full of liquid. The lid does what its supposed to -- I tipped it over and barely a few drops came out.

Hesitated at first, but I like making a big cup of tea to sip slowly through the afternoon and another at night. Its still warm in the morning which is impressive. Just make sure you let it cool a bit before putting the lid on. I took a swig after almost forgetting I made one an hour later and burned the inside of my lip lol.
