It's mind blowing to me that we were able to get this amazing bed for such an insane value. There's a reason it has sooo many perfect reviews. This is the cooling version of the even more popular best selling mattress on Amazon. First, Zinus has all the certifications you want to see, that ensure the mattress is safe from harmful materials. Second, it's hard to top the ease of being able to order a really great mattress online, and have it delivered to your door without the need to schedule a delivery appointment through a freight company. Third, Zinus offers an exceptional free return policy with a sleep well guaranty. Fourth, this mattress provides the perfect combination of dense foam and memory foam with a cooling foam layer. I'm 100% convinced this is the best combo for a super cozy mattress that will last for as long as you want to keep it! I bought this mattress to replace a VERY old dense foam mattress that I topped with an egg crate foam plus a memory foam topper, that created a combo that was perfect for me. I wanted to emulate the feeling of my prior mattress and this one had the dense and memory foam layers, all in one, which I hoped would eliminate the need for adding any toppers. Well, we have had the bed for several weeks now, and we love everything about it. We chose the 12 inch version, but that was overkill, and we would have been just as happy with a 10 or even an 8 inch, because the mattress is so well made. Once you open the package, just lay the mattress down and allow it a couple of hours to fully *fluff up*. It will expand to it's full size within just a few hours. It offers the perfect combination of comfort and support. I'm a side sleeper and too much firmness can result in so much pressure that your shoulders, arms and fingers can get tingles or numbness. But, if it's too soft, your back will be very angry with you! That has not been the case with this mattress. You will feel little to no transfer of motion from your husband, wife, partner, or pets that you allow in bed. I have found that I settle in quickly and don't wake up feeling the need to switch positions all night. That's the best sign of a great mattress to me. Let me start off by saying that it has been a rollercoaster ride with this mattress. Okay, so why the 5 stars, you ask? Well, I will tell you why. When it arrived, everything was great. It was packaged well. Vacuumed sealed so tight I didn't think it would ever unroll right. I gave it the full 72 hours to inflate. That's when the problems occurred. At 75 hours, the mattress had barely inflated to 8 inches. For reference, I bought the 10-inch. And I know sometimes that the measurements can be a bit off, so I considered it my fault for being such a cheap arse and not forking out for the 12 or 14. My reasoning: I was gonna get a topper at some point and I don't want to be like Princess and tf-ng Pea in a room with a low ceiling. I waited another day. Measured again. No sign of movement. I tried to contact the seller and, well anyone who has tried doing anything on Amazon knows how wonderful that is. Instead of giving me the seller, it sent me ring around the rosy with processing a return. I cannot tell you how many times I made it clear that I did NOT want to send it back and I did NOT want a refund. I only wanted help in trying to resolve this issue myself. I felt it was something that could be fixed. If it came to it, then we could talk about credits or refunds. This went on for over an hour. I finally managed somehow to be taken to the manufacturer's website and, once again went through the drama of "No, I don't want to return it and I don't want a refund. I just want help." I finally reached a human being at some point. A person by the name of Maverick contacted me and suggested I set the mattress on the floor and roll around or walk on it a bit. Apparently, sometimes the memory foam doesn't want to decompress all the way. These actions tend to help. I wrote back to him every time there was movement. 9 inches. 9.5 inches. I was so excited the day after my roommate slept on it that it got all the way up to 10 inches inflated! I immediately fired off a note to Maverick to let him know and to thank him for the suggestions. He was patient and told me exactly what needed to be done and why. It never even occurred to me that sometimes memory foam just "be that way" and you have to sort of give it a boost. All that said, I've been sleeping on it now for about a month. It's probably the most firm memory foam I've ever owned, and I probably could have done well with one a bit squishier, but this is fine. I got exactly what I ordered. I'm not gonna complain about that. I don't see any evidence of fiberglass, as mentioned in another review. Of course, I don't ever intent to remove the protective cover and will instead have one on top of it at some point. It being several inches more shallow than other mattresses I've owned, let me just tell you know... it puts them to shame! My previous mattress, same brand, was a 12-inch and not nearly as firm. It had edge issues where you'd fall to the floor if you weren't careful. I don't see that being an issue with this one. It's fairly sturdy sitting on the edge and I imagine that if I had access to the corners they would be the same #sleighbed. And my previous mattress, you could feel the metal slats underneath every freaking time you turned. It was awful. I had to put sheets of plywood down to keep from being gored in the night. With this mattress though?? I don't feel a dang thing. Granted the slats on this bed are wooden and not metal, even when I pounce on the bed, I don't feel a thing - just snuggliness. I'm waiting for my bed to break if I do that again though - for reference, I'm about 345lbs. Do you have any idea what that does to a bed if you just pounce on it like a lion on the Serengeti? Apparently, nothing (knock on wood). The mattress absorbs the impact. I would be confident with dropping an egg from a skyscraper onto this mattress. That is how awesome it is. It didn't have any sort of weird odor when I removed it from its wrapping. The only thing that sort of made it difficult to get any help was that the date of manufacture was missing from the tag when I was trying to get assistance from the manufacturer. If anyone has to deal with that, just take a picture of the tag anyway to prove that it is blank. It'll help you out in the long run. If I'm ever in the market for a mattress again any time soon, I am definitely purchasing this one - as long as it's available. I can sleep at night. It doesn't aggravate my low back pain or even my hip pain. I'm actually grateful it isn't as squishy as I would like because then my problem would be never wanting to get out of bed. Heck, even with my weight (when lying down) I barely sink into the mattress. And at least now I can wake up in the morning and go about my day without feeling as though my body has been hit by a truck and all I want to do is stay in bed. Very happy with this purchase!

I kept seeing reviews about people saying "wow, what a sleep" or "I don't know how I slept on my old bed" or "BEST SLEEP OF MY LIFE!" and I was like "yeah yeah... ok paid reviewer... sure sure!" Folks, I am here to tell you that they are in fact... 100 % correct! No shill BS here. I bought my bed with my own money and apart from this review now, Zinus doesn't know I exist. This bed is honestly life changing. I have some big mental health issues I'm dealing with and the part of my day that I know I will truly have relief is knowing that I have this stupendous bed to recharge in. From a quick cat nap when I'm feeling low during the day to a SOLID 7 hours sleep at night... this bed is like a human-charger. I'm actually finding myself getting emotional because for so so soooo many years I've had a terrible night sleep. With my medical issues I have a lot of chronic pain, anxiety, depression and only getting a couple hours straight sleep at a time does NOT do anything to help those issues. This bed changed all that and I'm so grateful to have taken the plunge and purchased the bed. I see so many reviews of people pouring on and on about the best sleep but it's true. For me at least, I came from a traditional pocket spring pillow top and box spring. I saw some reviewers say there's an adjustment period when you come from a traditional bed to foam. I didn't have that at all. Sure it felt strange with how little motion was transferred and how silent it was when rolling over, but there was no negative "oh jeez... this is going to take some getting used to" like I expected. I just layed down, and within minutes I was out like a light and stayed asleep all night. No mid-night awake for a bit and then hopefully right back to sleep. Just solid 7 hours in one shot. After 15 years my old bed had seen it's best days and perhaps it was a part of why the sleep wasn't good but looking back, I don't think that I ever did get a great nights rest on it. It was plush and was decent compared to a non pillow top but this foam... omg... Ok I promised I wasn't going to "wall of text" and just repeat what others have said but even after 2 nights sleeps on it, I know this is going to be a life long change in my life to always sleep on a bed like Zinus has here. Just buy it. It's an amazing price (at least time of writing this review) and it arrives fast. There was no adjustment period and honestly no negative. My whole bed with platform frame, headboard and under-bed storage costed less than a middle of the road traditional matress alone. I will never go back to one. I'm now a convert. Enjoy your night! Bought the 10in King I read a lot of reviews and was really hesitant before buying this mattress. First of all there was no smell at all when unpacking this. It inflated in a few minutes but we didn't use it for the first 2 nights. It did firm up during that waiting time and I suggest to everybody to wait like we did. First impression was that it feels a bit weird when you lie down on it for the first time. It feels hard at first and then you slowly sink into the top gel layer. It then conforms to your body and you will sink around 2 inch deep. If you move, the imprint of your body will stay there for like 15s and then totally disappears. This also feels weird at first. Once you get used to it is actually quite supportive and comfortable. The very first night, both me and my gf slept super well and have been sleeping well for the 2 weeks we've had it so far. It doesn't feel particularly hot as most people suggest memory foam normally does. I slept on my back, my side and my stomach and all 3 positions felt fine. Note that I do have an easier time sleeping on my back than I used to with this mattress. For the price, if this mattress lasts me around 5 years, I will be quite happy.
