I’ve had this unit for less than a year but it works great and it’s easy to set up and maintain. It’s trapped numerous gnats, fruit flies, and moths — I wasn’t even aware I had that many visitors. I almost feel sorry for their demise. The unit does have a blue light on it to attract insects that could be distracting in a dark bedroom, for example, but I put mine in the hallway between my living room and bedroom. At night, it’s a good night light without bothering my sleep. The tape lets you know when it’s time to change the cartridge which is easy to replace and refills are available easily at my local Safeway. One cartridge lasts me approximately one season (even summer) which is not bad at all.

Well it doesn't get rid of the flu that is buzzing around your head, but usually overnight it will catch a fly or two. I've had this for a few weeks now and I'm impressed. We thankfully don't get tons of flies all of time, but then there are days when there are too many, especially on very hot days. I guess flies like air-conditioning! Lol! Anyway a fly swatter can only get slow flies and this gets more, but it takes a dark kitchen (very little to no lights) and then a the pesky thing not bothering you anymore! At 1st I didn't think it was working, but then I checked each one and was happily surprised. About a week to a week and a half, I checked them both. Here are my findings. - The unit is by our partly glass back door and bordering the kitchen and the den. It only had 2 flies. It is plugged in under our bay window and is about 5 feet from a lamp that stays on all night. Vevo says light will possibly deter flies from the catcher. You see, this uses an ultra violet light with a cover, so if you have other light sources then the fly may go to those lights. - The one in the kitchen, on an upper plug above a counter, that is almost in a corner and is not too far from the covered kitchen trash can. (I have a big dog that I don't want to get into the trash.) This unit had 6 flies! So the darker area and nearer to the trashcan (fly restaurant), lured more flies to it and removed the little pests from around me and my family. This is much better than fly tape that is nasty and looks disgusting. And I don't have to touch the sticky area or the flies in order to dispose of them. That said, I'm waiting until more flies come to their demise before tossing the liner. And the liners are expensive! Admittedly they are on a frame with a holder, which is what makes this sanitary and way less icky. So to me that makes it worth the price. Now these are not decorative, but they are not bad looking either. The soft light they cast onto the wall is kinda nice. And I'll only use these in the summer and put them away during the winter, so that's cost effective. So what is my verdict? 2 Vevo units, together with a fly swatter in my kitchen is all I need during the summer to remove annoying flies from my kitchen. I highly recommend this product! It gets rid of flies while I sleep, so there are less or all gone the next day. That said, when the back door opens to let the dogs in and out (all day long), then more flies arrive and I'm glad these Vevo units are in my house!

I’m so annoyed by the many many fruit flies and other teeny flying bugs. They are there regardless of how well I clean. I take my compost out after each meal and put bleach in the disposal every night after a days use. Our cleaning person recommended this trap and I installed it on a Wednesday, went away for the weekend and checked it Monday morning. See the picture! It really catches them! I bought 2, one upstairs and one for the kitchen plus the genetic refills which are inexpensive. The design is straightforward, simple to install and use and you don’t touch anything but a tiny tab at the top to replace the screen when it’s overloaded. I’m recommending this product.

This unit does work to trap small flying insects however I expected more to be caught for the time that it has been plugged in. We have small black flies in our home we have placed two Zevo units one upstairs and one downstairs. The blue light emitted is pleasant and serves as a nice night light. Preparing the trap is very convenient simply sliding off a protective plastic liner exposes the sticky surface. Replacement sticky traps are available and reasonably priced. Time will tell how many annoying little critters will meet thier demise.

This was awsome to trap those nasty fruit flies . More like Nats. The bugs flew right to the light . Good value for the money. Safe and easy to assemble and easy remove.

I saw an ad on TV for this product and decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. Before I got it there were always flies, gnats and moths around my head. You can just imagine how irritating that is. So I got this product and it works fantastically. I change the trap paper about once a week and it has many flies, gnats and other assorted bugs in it. So, no more flying insects to bug me.

Really only effective for fruit flies inside. In the garage, I found it mostly captured small bugs and mosquitos in the summer. Once the weather turned cold, it started attracting and catching larger house flies.

They worked beautifully. My granddaughters love fruit. Hence fruit flies and gnats no matter what we do. The zevo collector is great. But you need them everywhere. My only problem they don't work as well in outlets near the floor or baseboard.
