The unit is very compact, and doesn't take a lot of space. It's perfect for pretty much any countertop. Keep in mind that it will be best to afford it about 4 inches of clearance on all sides during operation (otherwise it might reduce its efficiency). It always takes a few minutes to really get started after being turned off for a while, but once it has done its first load of ice "cubes" (they're more like thimbles than cubes, tbh), every batch after that will drop at a faster pace. A slight downside is that you should never leave water in it after you're done, and the drain is annoying to access as it's located a couple inches away from the edge on its underside, meaning you have to let it hang over the edge of a sink to empty it - every time you're done. The fans are a bit loud, but nothing too distracting or annoying.

This little ice maker works really well. In our indoor environment with an ambient temperature of 20 oC it produced 9 large ice cubes in 7 min and 9 seconds (after the first few which the manual explains). We had one of the first ice machines that came from the biggest box store, it was not even close to this quick or this quiet. At 3' I measured a sound level of 36db. The ice machine takes approximately 5 1/2 cups of water to fill. The basket is not very big so you have to keep an eye on it as it does fill fairly quickly (at least a lot quicker than I am used to). The controls are very easy to use. There is a button to turn it Off/On and a Select button for Large/Small ice cubes (I only ever have this set on Large). Finally, the control panel has an indicator for the machine is full of ice, and when it is out of water. In both cases it stops operations. We ran a full reservoir of water through this before using the ice. We likely didn't have to do this, but after doing so there was no unwanted taste or smell to the ice. The scoop is you basic ice scoop, but it is designed so you can stand it on the handle rather than placing it down on a surface that might not be the cleanest (picnic table for example). In addition to the scoop, you receive a user manual, a sheet of colorful stickers the little ones would no doubt like, a quick start guide and 3 plastic bags with draw strings for holding 8 lbs of ice each. The drain for this is found under the left front corner when looking at the front of the unit. It is attached with a small vinyl strap so you don't lose it (see photo). Draining is really easy. Just unplug and let it sit for a couple minutes, then move front corner over a sink and pull the plug. The size (see picture with coffee cup to give you an idea) makes it a great option to take in your RV. Power draw while actively cooling to make ice was about 103W. When the ice is ejected (called "harvesting" in the manual), it heats the little fingers for a brief moment so the ice is released. Power consumption increased by a little over 20% for these couple seconds. It should be mentioned in the event you have never had one of these, they are not designed to keep the cubes frozen, you have to transfer them to a freezer, or they will just melt and send the water back into the reservoir to make more ice. I really like the size of this and how quick it is. The current price is $159, but there is a Prime $50 coupon which makes this a great buy. If you are looking for an ice machine that is actually portable, and not obtrusive/bothersome to use, this is a solid choice.

Play Video This very functional counter top ice maker works very well. Noise level is no louder than a microwave. It holds about 1.4 litres of water and takes about an hour or so to use it up making the ice. The ice cubes are actually bullet shaped with the option to make two different sizes. There is a drain hold with a plug underneath it close to the front left side of the ice maker. It comes with the manual, a page of stickers, scoop and 3 bags ( with a draw string ) each with a max of 8lb capacity. Also it has a sensor that stops it when the basket is full. On the top you have LED lights for small or larger ice bullets and the other two lights are for "Adding water ( which comes on when the water level is getting to low and ice full". A selector button and one for on/off. The "Ice full" comes on when the sensor picks up the ice level. This would be great for the cottage/lake, or at home for those social gatherings and backyard BBQ's. Almost forgot, it also has a convenient carrying handle which clips in to the sides making it super easy to carry. There is nothing to not like about the counter top ice maker! Recommended.

The ecozy Ice Maker Countertop portable ice machine is a great discovery for me. I knew of such product but I did not know that it can deliver fast and clean ice. This ice machine has wowed me from the first 6 minutes I used it. Now, I even can chose thebsize of the ice I want it to make for me. I kept playing with it making ice cubes big and small. I followed the instructions and was happy that they were accurate. I let it go sometimes more than what I need and it continues until it stops by itself. This machine is very sturdy and makes very little noise. Except when the ice bullits are done. It is a great machine. I like it and I will continue to use it. I recommend it very much.
