After reading great reviews, we bought this for our RV in January & it worked great. We were very happy with the amount of ice it produced, it was quiet & loved the little nugget ice. Two days ago, it started making a strange noise, the ice output was decreased, then stopped & the unit itself seemed to get very hot feeling. We unplugged it for a while, then plugged it back in-started making ice, but then the noise started again. Checked the user manual & have done everything correctly & it's currently running 'ok', but not like before. It's only 5 months old & already starting with issues......not happy! I will be contacting the company......it's ridiculous that something only 5 months old, costing almost $200, just sitting on a counter doing what it's supposed to do, is already having problems. For the time being-I DO NOT RECOMMEND ECOZY ICE MAKER!!! I will update after I contact the company & see how they respond. ***UPDATE*** I contacted the company & literally within hours, I received a response. The company stands behind their products, customer service rep Lisa is very nice & within 2 days, I received a full refund (no return of the unit required). I must say I'm extremely impressed with how quickly this matter was addressed & resolved. Although the icemaker didn't perform as expected, their customer service is impeccable. Would I give Ecozy another chance-possibly, as we really liked the ice maker & whatever the problem was with this unit may have been just a fluke.

I am heavy pregnant and addicted to chewing soft ice. I waited a couple months (now around Black Friday) for prices to drop. I feel like I got this for an amazing price. The quality is stellar. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PLUGGING IN! I'm not big on instructions but you can ruin the product if you do not follow the instructions. PROS: high quality ice, very soft and chewable Makes ice quickly Sleek and modern design Compared to similar products a bargain The only "con" I would say is it can be extremely loud for approximately 2-5 minutes when you turn the product on, but I've read reviews that say it will get quieter over time. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase!

Perfect nugget ice, easy maintenance, set up is simple. Love the self cleaning option. The machine is much smaller than I thought it would be, however I am not disappointed because it doesn’t take up much counter space and has a sleek look. The only downfall would be that you kinda have to babysit the machine during ice making. This is not an issue for me as I am home 99% of the time. This is not a machine that you could leave running while not home. Ice basket needs to be dumped as soon as it is full, make sure to tip it before transferring ice to the bags as there is water because the ice melts some. It also needs water added after about a full basket load or you can add when it runs out, the machine stops running and indicates with red display when water is empty or when the ice in the basket needs to be pushed to the side or spread out. When I am making ice, I spread the ice out or push the ice over to the opposite side once it begins accumulating in the basket and then drain excess water, dump into the bag and immediately transfer to my freezer. Since the nuggets are still wet, the ice does stick together once frozen solid in the bag. I just bang the bag when I need ice and the nuggets break apart individually pretty easily. The nuggets are perfect for people that enjoy eating ice, they aren’t solid hard like bullet ice or ice cubes. The nuggets are comparable to Sonic and Zaxby’s which is exactly what I wanted. I appreciate that a few ice bags are included as well. No regrets with this purchase and saving me $$$ by not needing to purchase bags of ice from the store. Wonderful investment for ice lovers.

Okay, this is as honest a review as you can read. I loved this product. It made cool tiny ice cubes. Me and my family used it every day. I bought it September 23, 2023. Last Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, I came home from work and walked over to the unit like I do every evening to get a cup of ice. There was no ice in the basket, which also occurs if it runs out of water. Not a big deal. But then I looked in the basket and saw a bunch of pieces of hard black plastic. (see photo). I realized that the part of the unit where the ice is made had broken and that it had come apart. I unscrewed the top to investigate and saw that it had imploded and broke on its own. The other 2 pictures show what was left after this happened. That area should be a solid black platform. Also, the metal bar shown in the photos is not supposed to be bent like it is, Clearly, the unit went berserk while i was at work and I suppose was grinding against itself. I contacted customer service. There is no one there to answer the phones. It is all automated. But, in eCozy's defense, someone called me back. She created a work ticket. I told her I had photos. She said hold onto them and that I would be contacted by someone within 48hours. This morning, Monday the 23rd, I received an email. This is what they wrote: "Please kindly note that we only offer a one-year warranty for our products, and your warranty has expired by now. I’m afraid in this case, we cannot cover the warranty for you. " That is an unsatisfactory response. I do understand that it was 15 months since I bought it. But there was no way I wasn't going to write a review because you should know that you will have no recourse once a year elapses. This unit could have caught on fire while I was a work because the motor was all screwed up and over-working. The item costed $250. If they had simply offered me a replacement at half of the cost, I would have been satisfied. Buyer beware. Look for a different manufacturer. To reiterate, I loved this machine but they get a zero for customer service.

Play Video I hesitated between all the different models but this one is the best in my mind. Cons: I ordered it on December 19th and thanks to Amazon third party delivery, received it on the 31st after 3 failed attempts because Intelcom always delivers outside business hours or days, like at midnight (?who does that ?!) really, really annoying. Plus, the delivery boy dropped in on the floor when he finally delivered it. Fortunately it was super well packaged, like professionally packaged and it sustained no damage. Pros: It makes ice really quickly, the glass in the picture is like 10 oz and it was full in just under 20 minutes from room temperature. The ice is cute little 1/4 inch hazy cubes that are chewable. That’s better than bullets in my taste. The ice stays cold in the tray day long , but I recommend to not leave the scoop in to avoid melting it. It’s easy to clean and has a self cleaning process. It’s a tad noisy, more than a fridge really, but a small price to pay to provide quick ice at a pace able to cope how fast we use it. Way better than any freezer trays. I’ll update to see how long it lasts. So far, a five star purchase even if delivery was awful.

The Ecozy Portable Ice Maker is one of my favorite purchases of all time. It makes bullet shaped ice, which I wasn't sure if I'd like, but I have to say I don't notice much of a difference between bullets and cubes. I've been trying to get away from drinking soda and I don't like water unless it's ice cold, so I got this for my office. I'm almost total off from soda now and drink a lot of water instead. Setup is pretty easy, just fill it up to the max line, turn on the auto clean and it does it's thing in about a half hour. Pull the drain plug out over the sink to drain the water out, then rinse it out and put the plug back in the drain hole and it's ready to go. To use, fill it to the max line and drop the ice basket in. Turn it on and it starts pumping water into the ice making trough. Every 10-12 minutes it drops another batch of ice. The ice maker is insulated so the ice doesn't melt too fast but as it melts the water just flows into the reservoir to be made into ice again. Word of warning, if the ice basket is full of ice and you fill the reservoir to the max line, the bottom of the ice basket will be sitting in the water so the ice melts faster. When all the ice melts, it will be well above the max fill line, however it doesn't seem to effect the performance other than it will need to make ice more often to keep the basket full. The noise level is very acceptable, when it's cooling there is the sound of the fan which is less than the fans on my computer so I don't notice it. The only real noise that comes from it is when the ice drops into the basket. One thing I did not like it the plastic ice scoop. It's almost too big, I'd estimate it's a 6oz scoop and it's too long to fit in the basket. I purchased a 3oz metal scoop and a magnetic hook to put on the side of the ice maker, and it works much better.

Edit: company refused to offer a replacement or fix the unit. Machine was 6 months old. So they don’t even have a one year warranty on this product? They offered us a 50% refund. This ice maker is way too costly to not even last a year. Will definitely chose a better, reputable brand next time around. Original: When this ice machine worked, it was pretty good. Nice nugget ice. Made fairly quickly. However, wish I could say more positive about it. We liked it a lot, but after just over 6 months it started making a LOUD humming noise. So loud, it could be heard in the next room with the door closed, and with the a/c on. After reaching out to support, hoping there was some sort of support seeing as we haven’t even had the product a year, they asked us to send a video & tried to say the noise was of normal volume & would only offer us 50% off a new unit…. Not sure I want a new unit if it only has a 6 month life span & no warranty or support.

I bought this icemaker because my fridge icemaker would not keep up. It made ice the first time out in about eight minutes. It is very simple to use and doesn’t take up too much space. It makes ice very quickly. Great deal for the price I would buy this again.
