Update 2-26-2025 Will update again later 2-15-2025 Had previoulsy purchased and returned 3 irobot stations. All 3 either wouldnt connect to wifi, or had jammed up wheels after 4 uses. Took a long time to map our house and needed the lights on or daylight. This eufy mapped in 10 minutes. Avoided obsticals and vaccum is quiet. The base station is kinda loud but it only goes on when it returns home. App works great so far and have no issues. Real time mapping and routes taken when in use is a great feature. Got stuck on a chord once but didnt give up and redlight anything because of it. Replacment parts in the app make easy order/find. In the event a wheel gets jammed or worn out there are replacment modules on amazon. Only giving 4 stars for the sake of being conservative untill unit is past its return date. Will update later Update. Unit is doing exactly what it should. I can tell where it went and missed from its cleaning history. Does a great job! The areas missed are small but it always gets them the next day. It cleans 1400sq ft through out the day for a total of 2 hrs of cleaning time with no issues from shoes or the lids toys. No hair issues from the cat. Ive checked the bag and it does certainly get lots hair. VERY satisfied with the unit for this update. Changing to 5 stars, and will update again later.

Play Video Initial Review (10/13/24): I got this bc I was in the market for a robot vacuum. I’d had a verrrrry early version of one not long after they came out & it was more of a hassle than it was worth. I’m giving it another try bc I have a house with a large open-concept floor plan + 2 cats & it’s very important to me that my floors are clean but vacuuming/sweeping & *then* mopping was killing my back. I looked up the best options on Popular Mechanics & saw Eufy was on there. I own a ton of Anker & SoundCore products over the past 20 years, so I was comfortable with this brand & price point ($269 in early Oct. 2024). I wasn’t paying $800 for a vacuum. Initial run, it mapped the space & then I ran it to vacuum. It emptied itself like 4 times bc there was a lot of cat hair to get up 😬. I ran it again the next day & it got every corner of the house (that’s not up or down steps) and reeeeally close to the baseboards. Emptied itself twice & went back home with about 26% battery left. I like the self-cutting feature bc I do have long curly hair (even though it doesn’t do the bathroom; up 1 step) on top of hair from 2 cats. I have hardwood floor, low-pile rugs, an indoor/outdoor runner & a couple of thicker textured rugs. It had no issues getting up & over and increasing suction based on what was in front of it. It did suck up a sock from under the bed & I had to free it but that was no issue. It did a great job & freed me up to do the part I *actually* like, which is mopping. I use a set of natural floor cleaners that make the house smell amazing. I set the app to clean all 5 rooms in a specific order which allows me to mop in that order after it goes back home. So far, I’m very pleased with this, but I do want folks to understand this is sophisticated machinery that’s not set it & forget it. You’ll need to pick stuff up off of your floor so it can get to things. I put my kitchen table chairs up on the table like restaurants do at the end of the night to help it, help me. It’s round, so it’s going to miss some tight corners/narrow spaces. Following with manual mopping ensures those corners are clean despite this expected imperfection. Its clearance is decent & gets under almost all my furniture except a very low bookshelf & coffee table. Mopping handles cleaning these areas just fine. Is it a little loud? Yeah, but vacuums are loud. It is quieter than my manual plug-in Bissell stick vacuum, however, which is a hoss & is very loud. I take really good care of home appliances so I expect the longevity to be long with proper maintenance. Your mileage will vary based on how well you take care of it & give this device space to do its job. Will update my review in maybe 6 months. My expectations are high for Anker & their suite of brands, so hoping it’s still all good. Not including map photos for privacy reasons but the lines are verrrryyy satisfying!

Update: their customer service is the best I've encountered! They reached out to me and refunded me for the trouble. Since the product was amazing until it broke, I'll be looking for a new one but will stick with the Eufy brand! I was in love with this device when I got it. It was a great automated vacuum that mapped the area, knew what to avoid, the settings were great for me, and it vacuumed everything in one go. My apartment is mostly carpeted and it did ok. The noise was not too bad and I used it 1-2 times a week. I also got the automated emptying device which was collecting the dust but did not cut hair at all. It was a nice addition but I'm not sure I would have bought it again. Recently, less than 6 months after it started "getting stuck" every few feet with no obstructions. I find myself having to be home and right by it so I can simply ask it to restart every few minutes. It is no longer serving its purpose for me. Great product, but it's way too expensive to buy a new one every 6 months. Look elsewhere if you don't want to get disappointed.

This thing is great we have 2 super shedder dogs that blow their coats in the spring and running this every 12 hours has really kept the dog fur tumbleweeds to a minimum. We have always had issues keeping up with the fur output but it's taken care of now. The hair cutter also works great never any hair or fur wrapped around the bristles just the very ends need to be cleaned once a week or so, The only cons I see are on max power the battery drains over 1% a minute if you have a larger house you will need to run the power lower or it will need to recharge in between rooms. The filter on the dustbin is also a little on the small side so it will require cleaning more often. Likewise the dust bags in the base are not huge so we nearly filled it in a week vs the advertised 60 days when the dogs were shedding this spring. The base is also loud, like industrial shop vac loud when emptying the robot. With that said it still gets 5 stars from me, it cleans the tons of dog fur incredibly well, the app works good. It avoids everything it could get stuck/tangled in. Running it on the second highest suction it still cleans just as good and has 50% battery left when done as we have alot of hard floor. The self emptying works great just a little loud, the hair cutter works excellent and it goes at least a week without any intervention, 10 minutes of cleaning the robot a week for all the hours of vacuuming is a great trade. Will be looking at the Eufy X10 Omni in the near future when we want a mopping robot!

Excelente.

This is by far our best purchase in 2019. 'Eufy the Cleaner' works as advertised and more....we are a 'techy' family so the boys were glad to see the latest addition to our home collection. Eufy works pretty well. Set up was a breeze and the additional replacements parts included in the box was pretty impressive. Device has been cleaning the entire house every 2 days in the past 10 days or so since we started using it....I will definitely stay with eufy for the robovac consideration....only wished the battery could last longer after a full charge...I also think users should be provided with more boundary strips and maybe longer as well. Good product so far and comes highly recommended.

【BACKGROUND】 I've had a Roomba 671 for over a year. I want to list downsides to that first because it is typical of most Roomba-brand robotic vacs. 【iRobot ROOMBA CONS】 * LOUD - don't expect to watch TV while a Roomba is cleaning your room * only one sweeper brush so edges only got cleaned when it was traveling in one direction along a wall * sensor turret sticks above level of robot, causing it to bump into low furniture, sometimes getting stuck * horridly unreliable at docking - tended to shove the dock around, and debris (in a relatively clean home!) would cover the charging contacts, causing docking to fail * virtual walls required buying separate "towers" which were expensive and ate batteries 【THE EUFY DIFFERENCE】 First of all: if you've heard of "Anker" - makers of some of the best USB cables and powerbanks on the market - Eufy is Anker's home-product brand with items like smart light bulbs, plugs, switches, and robotic vacuums. I've had great luck with their USB products and when reading up on "ideal robovacs", they were consistently top of the list. 【Eufy 30C PROS】 * much quieter than Roomba * when returning to dock, suction shuts off and it is dead-silent * on approaching the charging base, it slows down to a crawl and navigates precisely * HEPA filter, with a spare included * double sweeper brushes, with spares included * Google Assistant and Alexa integration * physical remote control that sits in a divot on top of the charging dock and gives FULL control of the robot * magnetic strips for creating barriers (see explanation below) * app has been updated and controls all the functions the remote will (boost level, mode etc) 【Eufy 30C CONS】 * dock is functional but the power supply is ugly - it's a "wall wart" which Eufy tries to mitigate by having a cord wrap inside the dock - Roomba clearly has the advantage here with the power supply built into the dock and a simple, NEMA 2-pin plug going to the wall. I'd like to see Eufy re-design this. * not AS QUIET as some of the reviews would have you think. It *is* quieter than the Roomba but not dead silent, even on the "low" suction mode. * Google Home integration requires Google Assistant. You can't directly link Google Home to Eufy - it generates an error. Instead, you link Google Assistant with Eufy Home, then create a routine in Google Home to engage Google Assistant to control the vacuum. It's annoying to initially set up but in practice it works seamlessly - I still have a Home routine called "clean" that starts the Eufy Vac. 【Details of Magnetic Barriers】 Further explanation of one of my points: the magnetic strips. Ostensibly, you can peel the backing off and stick them to any hard surface. Turns out, you can even put them UNDER things, and cut the magnetic strip lengthwise. The instructions advise against this (likely because of reduced magnetic field strength not tripping the robot's sensors) but in practice, it works! I sliced a strip so it's about 1/3 its width and hid it in a floor transition strip (see photo of transition - the magnetic strip is right under there). It creates enough of a field the robot gets near and immediately turns around. Total game changer here - no need for multiple "towers" like you'd have for Roomba. You could even lift up carpet and hide these strips underneath, maybe cutting away some carpet underlay to ensure the magnetic strip sits flush. 【CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION】 It's clear there are some minor compromises with Eufy products but they're mostly aesthetic and not functional. I'd LIKE to have seen a prettier power supply for the base (simple plug, not a wall wart) and direct Google Home integration. In practice, those don't affect the vacuum at all - it just works, even better than Roomba, at a lower cost. Top marks.
