I’m going to explain what I saw online and how I chose this. Then I will describe my environment and how this unit performs. I cover a lot of ground so hopefully this helps you. For what its worth: I had the Roomba way back. Like the first generation many years ago. It did not do that well and I got rid of it after a few months. To be fair, we had a lot of dog hair at that time. I miss my puppy :)  Things have changed. I did some web searches and the Eufy S1 Pro was usually in the top three for the category of vacuum / mop combo units. There’s a lot of choices out there. Some garbage, some good. You can go on Reddit and find lots of detailed experiences for just about any model you want to know about. There’s also a lot of reviews and videos out there. I will say that some of the reviews are a bit “robust” or perhaps even unreasonable. I remember one reviewer being disappointed that a combo mop did not completely remove a week-old coffee stain. Another expected it to clean up dried caramel. No current robot belongs in those homes. Or people :) I did come across a very helpful comment from the head of engineering at Dyson (maker of great vacuum products). He explained there are some physical limitations involved. These little robots need power and motors which take up space. They can be very good at vacuuming or at mopping, bit it is hard to be very good at both due to the physical constraints. Why am I explaining all this? I decided the thing to do was to set reasonable expectations. I wanted my floors look and feel cleaner on a daily basis. If there was ever a serious cleanup to do, I would do it manually as needed. And I am also expecting that with automated daily cleaning, my manual intervention would need to be significantly less overall. The short answer is: My expectations were met. In fact they have been exceeded. More on this at the end.  It may help to know my environment. I have mostly hard floors (hardwood and travertine tile) with some area rugs. I live in a luxury home in a tropical environment. The reason I mention luxury is to establish the caliber of cleanliness that is appropriate – It’s not a hospital, it’s not a junkyard. The reason I mention tropical is this: It can get windy and the dirt blows around. The weather is nice, so you leave the doors and windows open. Our floors can get dirty fast. On a daily basis. In a day or two, we can feel it on our feet as we walk barefoot in the house most of the time. If we let it go a few days, we can visibly see the buildup. At times, it can be hard to keep up with. So now about the robot. This unit is built well. It is made by Anker; a solid growing company. That was important as I wanted long term support and replacement items. This unit works well. The floors look and feel clean every day with very little effort by me. It never gets stuck or lost. It gets close to walls and navigates the feet of furniture. In the app, I can pause it, schedule it, adjust the strength of vacuum and mopping (think "louder/quieter"). Also within the app, there are well done videos that demonstrate features or help with troubleshooting (very clever). I can order consumables (bags, soap, parts) from within the app (ok you got me hooked for the long run, Anker). The app also even has tech support (live chat or phone). I have only used the chat but it was real (not AI or automated). The robot “discovered” the entire flooring on its own and created a line drawn map. The robot shows you where it is on the map in real time. It has a voice feature that keeps me posted on its progress. I’m pretty sure the next version will cook breakfast for me. When it goes back to the based station, it empties the robot’s dustbin and dirty mop water into the base station. Once week, I empty the tank, change the bag and add fresh water. It even has an ozonater for the fresh water to keep it fresh. Genius. Even more genius is how it manages the mop. It has a system that basically cleans the mop as it goes so that it’s not dragging a dirty mop across the floor. I think most of the other system don’t do this (yet). Then, when it’s back at the base station it cleans and dries the mop (with hot air?) for a few hours so that it does not start to get gross. What the? This thing is well thought out, is well built and does a great job. I am confident they will also improve this through firmware and app updates as well as in future products. (I can use it on a send floor, but the transfer process is just a little bit clunky in the software). This is my first “long form” review… if I sound like a review geek then so be it. This has been some of the best money I have spent in a long time and I wanted to share the fun with others. It really has changed my life for the better in a way that I see and feel on a daily basis.

I evaluated 3 different robots in my house, the first was Dreame X40 Ultra, the second is this one, and the third was Ecovacs X5 Pro Omni. The first thing I evaluated was navigation - the base station location in my house is kind of cornered by a large dining room table with 12 chairs around it. Navigating out of this area (or underneath it when it's time to clean that area under the table) is a pretty critical skill for my house. This is where the Dreame X40 Ultra started to piss me off. It was constantly getting confused by the table and chair legs, pausing for long periods of time and trying to determine what to do. It would often "give up" on the task and just return to base telling me mission accomplished, when it hadn't even begun to clean! In addition, cleaning the whole was very inefficient, and would take f o r e v e r. As a contrast, the Eufy S1 Pro is very efficient. It's obstacle avoidance for stationary objects is amazing. It navigates its way around, and next to almost everything, and just finds ways to continue the cleaning path without getting confused. Its cleaning path itself is very clear, and is executed fast and without any hesitations. The roller mop provides excellent coverage compared to the other 2 robots' duo rotating mops, which often leaves uncovered areas. Its edge cleaning is sufficient, though not perfect, and has improved vastly once I set the obstacle avoidance level in the app to its least sensitive setting. Its mopping is great, and feels very similar to my upright Eufy v1 Mach Ultra which is a very good mopper. The existence of an onboard dirty water tank on the robot and the fact the brush continuously self-cleans itself, is a standout feature compared to almost all other robots, and it allows the robot to return to base much less often, thus further improving the efficiency. It also means it deals with wet stains better, although if you expect it to be able to absorb meaningful amounts of spilled fluids, it's not going to happen. The reason is that unlike the upright mop, the robot separates between the dirty water tank (which is basically the dirty water continuously being extracted from the roller using a squeegee), and the vacuum, which has its own dust bin, and that one needs to stay dry. So no suction of fluids, but still better at mopping wet stains than any of the other robots out there. The vacuuming is also good, although I wouldn't say this is its stand out feature - there are probably better vacuuming robots out there, so if vacuuming is what you mostly care about - I would give other robots a second look. I don't use it with my room carpets, only an area rug in the living room, which it can handle easily. Apart from that, the only real problem I faced with this robot is that there is a specific bathroom mat we use which for some robot this robot tried to vacuum and ends up sucking it to its vacuum port, getting the robot stuck and in need of manual assistance to get untangled. I worked around it by placing a small bathroom stool to block the robot from going over this mat. I could have also placed a virtual barrier in the app that it won't cross. Final word - I had the X5 Pro Omni in my house last week and I had some high hopes, but I returned it right after the fist cleaning. Main reason: the robot got completely tangled in the fringes of my area rug to a point I had to manual untangle it multiple times. Unlike the bathroom mat, I can't really avoid this rug if I want it properly vacuumed, so it seems like a non starter for me. In summary, after having seen all 3 robots in action, I think the Eufy S1 Pro stands out big time on most features, including its mopping, cleaning efficiency, obstacle avoidance, and navigation. Its base station is also great, as it self cleans, empties dirty water, washing mops, and refill clean water - all fully automated. Its noise level is probably not its best trait, although completely manageable IMO, as it's only loud for brief periods of time when the base self-cleans (about 2-3 minutes at the end). Vacuuming at max level will probably also be quite loud, but I use the lower, standard suction setting.

I have been avoiding robot vacuum cleaner for years, since first time used roomba. The small dust bin, stuck all the time, messy cleanup of the robot itself, end up causing me more work. However, it seems time has changed. I finally dropped $1k for this latest eufy vacuum robot at Thanksgiving sale. The result, is nothing short of a pleasant surprise. This robot cleaner is smart enough, robust enough, that did everything well with very little maintenance. First, it will map the whole house upon first time use, and use that map as directions for operations later on. Second, it's route planning and obstacle avoidance is very good, circling around all kinds of objects from shoes to table legs, and clean the whole room in a smooth patten (you can see the cleaned route in the app). Third, everything is automatic, auto empty dust bin, auto fill in water, auto dump dirty water, auto cleaning and drying mop roll, you literally didn't have to interfere except occasionally fill in the water tank, and empty dirty water tank, both are made very easy. Lastly, the design is very nice, elegant yet functional. All the moving parts are very well made, rubber sealed, easy to take apart and easy clean. The parts are not cheaply made plastic, they are actually "dyson level" quality. Overall, this little robot has exceeded my expectations in every way, I can't live without it now, previously I was doing cleaning with several dyson handheld vacuum, now I feel I don't have to anymore. Highly recommended if you want give robot vacuum a try.

I’ve had a few robots over the years but never spent over $400 for one. Until now. I needed something to really clean my floors and boy does this deliver! Our floors have never felt better and the vacuuming is top notch. Sure it’ll miss a spot in corners or weird areas of your house, but getting this type of cleaning as often as you want, is an absolute game changer in our household. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it if you need an extra hand with floor cleaning or vacuuming. Update: 2 months have past, and this machine is still doing an excellent job. There is some manual cleaning and maintenance of the robot that I take about 10-15 minutes every 2 weeks to do to keep this in top shape. I run the mop every 2 days in the evening, with a scheduled vacuum every morning and evening and our house has never been cleaner. I have had to contact support with a question and through the app I heard back from them with no issues. This is an amazing product.

I can't say enough good things about the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro! This thing is an absolute game-changer. We were so impressed with it, we even gave it a name! (That's how much we love it.) We have ceramic floors with lots of crooks and nooks, and mopping used to be a real chore. This vacuum handles it all like a champ. It mapped our entire floor perfectly and cleans incredibly well. Seriously, the water is FILTHY dirty after it's done, and our floors are squeaky clean. If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can truly tackle tough messes and navigate tricky floor plans, look no further. The eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro is worth every penny!

This is the first time I get a cleaning robot and it’s been an amazing experience so far. No more vacuuming or mopping with hands and keep the house clean. I have mapping my house levels and works well. We have named our robot as “Mechita” hahaha I watched multiple reviews about the high noise which are not true. I strongly recommend this product.

The mopping performance is light years above my Dreame l10s. I loved my Dreame until I got this one for my other floor. Now I do not want anything else than roller mops. This is the future. Carpet performance is also better than my Dreame so I do not see the issue of other reviewers. Ozone generator seem to work well since no odour from any thank. Update after 5 months of daily use : still love it and works perfectly fine. No issues so far.

Not good. Purchased this after watching videos on YouTube and seeing the positive results. Unfortunately I didn’t have the same experience. My refrigerator recently died so while I was removing the thawed items from the freezer there were some drips. The mopping functioning didn’t even clean them after running 4 (twice in deep clean mode x 2 cycles) so I did a test with some hot sauce drips that I let dry because let’s be honest if you drip something while cooking you won’t run the mop right away and be tripping over it. Not only did it not clean them after mopping 4 times (see before & after pics), but I noticed how much it missed along transition and carpet (see pics).
