To be honest, when we first ordered this product, I didn't have high expectations. That opinion was based solely on the first robot vacuum we purchased (EUFY) about 7 years ago. It was just the basic vacuum and performed pretty badly. The slightest obstacle would confuse it or cause it to get hung up. We basically stopped using it after the first few months. With this Roborock, it's a whole new ballgame!! It was easy to unpack and setup. Then, I performed the Quick Mapping to allow it to identify each room. I did need to use the "divide" feature to break up some large areas found during the mapping process. After that, I named the rooms, added some furniture and identified the floor types. It completed the vacuuming process for all the rooms flawlessly in the house without a single issue. This initial vacuuming phase is where it fine tunes each room layout from the Quick Mapping stage. The only thing I did during the first vacuuming phase was use my foot to keep it from going under a dresser or bed, which it remembers during subsequent vacuuming sessions. While watching, during the initial vacuuming, I was amazed at how well it navigating around areas. It would hug as close as possible to all edges, doing a fantastic job cleaning all the floors. I also liked how the vacuum would go into a more powerful mode when it transitioned from hard floor to carpet and then slow down once it was back on tile. The key feature we were looking for in this new vacuum is it traveling back and forth across the floor in straight pattern. This is much more efficient that the EUFY that just zig zagged all over the place, repeating across numerous paths. The Roborock will travel around the edge of a room and then go back and forth across the rest of the room. I realize I'm old and retired, but I have to admit, it was quite fun watching it do such a great job. IT ALSO WORKS WELL WITH ALEXA, SO THAT IS ANOTHER PLUS!! Needless to say, we are VERY please and give it the highest possible score!! The only feature left to test is mopping, so we'll update our review to include that. Best money we've spent in a long time.

Summary: Works as expected (except for con's). By far, better than manually vacuuming. By far the best of the 2 I tried. Pro's: Runs every day on the entire first floor and about once per week on the second floor (hand-carried). Mapping of both floors works excellent and the no-go zones work well. With 2 golden retrievers, the container in the vacuum fills up every day and empties every day. Needed Maintenance: A single bag lasts about 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks the rollers get cleaned, sensors wiped, and filter changed (cleaning filter involves washing it and letting it dry for the next time) Con's: Occasionally, the bag when replaced does not appear to fit perfectly and then does not empty as expected (seems to lose suction). Moving it by hand seems to fix it. Occasionally, the dog hair has gotten stuck during emptying process and has to be cleared manually. I have a 2 foot long thin and flexible piece of plastic that works for this (or you can unscrew the back and clean it out).

I've owned a cometetor brand for almost 12 years. It was still working but we wanted to move it to the basement and get something for the main level that self empties. We originally bought the same brand as our other robot vacuum but after only 1 month it got lost, wouldnt save the map, and only vacuumed about 10% of the whole first floor for 4 hours. We returned and bought the Roborock Q8 Max Plus. Im really happy we did. It vacuums the perimeter of the rooms first and then works in perfectly straight lines while overlapping each pass it just made. It has amazing suction power. It has sucked up my kids gloves and toys which impressed me. The only fall back is the mopping feature. I've tried plain water and water mixed with the Roborock solution. Neither did a very good job. I dont expect it to be as good as a manual mop. However, because the mop plate doesnt have any downward pressure to it, it more or less just lightly drags the semi-damp microfiber cloth across the floor which really does nothing. I could see this as an inbetween mopping sessions kind of mop. Other than that, I am quite happy with the purchase and would highly recommend. And mapping only took about 15 minutes as oppose to the other one we returned. That brand took 3 hours to create its first map that deleted itself and never worked the same again.

This is our first cleaning robot, and we are extremely impressed. Set up is extremely easy, basically the robot will do a quick LIDAR scan of your house to see all the walls, shape of your house. Then it does a quick clean, to fully map out obstacles in your home. The set up is easy, but not perfect. You will still need to properly up how your rooms are split up, and where thresholds like bumps or doorways are. It took me about 2 days to get the mapping down exactly how I wanted it so the robot wouldn't get stuck anymore. It does get stuck sometimes but the AI is very smart. You don't need to help it get unstuck if you set your map correctly. Object avoidance is really good. Like 8/10 good, its nearly perfect. Anything smaller than the height of the toe your shoes will be difficult to detect, so phone chargers, tiny cat toys, bobby pins, mini makeup bottles will all get sucked up. So make sure you are tidying up your floors for the best experience. The mopping functionality is extremely good, so much better than I expected. The mop pad becomes incredibly wet, it even drips on "Extreme" setting lol. Water tank leaves a bit to be desired. I have a 850sqft apartment, roughly 400sqft is reachable by my Roborock. The water only lasts 1 day and needs to be filled daily. The vacuum is INSANE. All the weaknesses of the mop are forgiven for this AWESOME suck power. It sucks harder than our actual vacuum. The vacuum Max+ setting is quite loud but quieter than a normal vacuum. Cat hair has never been more afraid of us. Bottom line: If you have pets, this guy is ABSOLUTELY worth the investment. Cleaning our floors on a daily basis, and with little to no hands on stuff, this lil guy will whisk you away from the hair balls and no hair in your coffee!!

Tengo poco tiempo usando este producto pero ha funcionado excelente, el trapeado deja un poco que desear pero aun así la recomiendo ampliamente.

The Roborock S5 is my first robot vacuum, and I'm very happy with the results. The vacuum is great at picking up cat hair and litter, which is a daily battle in the home. Very satisfied with my purchase.
